as opposed to having the windows down ,no it doesn't use much more,id rather use a tenth more of gas than burn up,i tried it both ways on my truck to see if it made any difference in the mileage, and it didn't make none at all,so depending on the car it probably wouldn't make that much difference in it at all,it would depend on the car, the driver, and the driving conditions, and the condition of the car, good luck hope this helps.

in maximum situations specific having the ac working does reason decrease gas mileage... yet in some vehecles like older fords,.... compressor is working 24/7 whether you have ac working or no longer and that motives the motor vehicle to waste gas all the time so it doenst particularly count huge form in those situations whether ur run ac or no longer. So in maximum situations (very pretty much one hundred% greater moderen vehicles) AC does soak up greater gas.

Yes and no, meaning it does require your car to expend more energy overall, but if you don't use AC and keep your windows open, the wind drag on the open windows will make your car expend more energy as well. And you don't want to drive a car with the windows shut without ac in the summer.

At lower speeds (around town) running your ac will drop your gas mileage down but at hiway speeds you will get better gas mileage because the is less drag with the windows up than down.

when you are cruising, it really doesnt, it ony does when u are idiling. for instance, no ac, u adle at 800-1000 rpm's. with ac 1400-1800 rpm's. more rotations = more gas. windows down, now thats funny.

yeah a little. it makes the engine work a little harder due to the load the compressor puts on the engine. its minimal though

Not so much that you would notice unless you are idling for a long time.
