i'd have to say it would be a fuel pump since fuel injector's need pressure to spray the gas in the cylinders. something isnt right, but u dont give very much info for us to work with. like, is it when u suddenly crack on the gas in a passing manuver, etc. alotta variables.

It could be any # of things.
One of the sensors is failing intermittently.
A shop won't be able to diagnose the problem unless the FI light is on, so they can check the code.
Purchase a shop manual.
When the FI light comes on, check the code yourself.
Then you'll know what the problem is and can either replace the bad sensor, or bring your bike to a shop and have them replace it.

the fi light stands for fuel injection, meaning that the problem is coming from the fuel system somewhere. check your manual under the problems guide to see what areas check for from there.

if its a clog, go to meijer or a autoparts store and get some Seafoam (about 7 dollars a can, and grab one for your car too), yes thats the real name of it. and put it in your gas, run the bike for about 10 minutes, and cut it off. Let it sit for about 30 minutes, turn it back on and let it warm, then take it for a ride and flog the hell outta her, you should notice a diffrence in the preformance right off bat, even if it dosnt fix your problem
