I had a minor auto accident about 6 months. The person who hit me was entirely at fault and his insurance company paid for all the damages. Since it cost the insurance company more than 500$ to fix the vehicle, they reported the incident to DMV. The insurance company says that it has repaired the car in full and the repairs have a full life-time warranty. The accident now likely shows up in the carfax for my car. Will the accident decrease the sales price of my car if I were to sell it later? If yes, how can I get the insurance company to reimburse me for a likely future loss?

Thanks.

I went to Pep Boys for a wheel alignment. I was told that I needed a new steering rod, the two front tires replaced and a couple of other things I don't even remember. I ask the guy "I don't really have a choice, right?" .- "(chokes) Nnnnno!."
Now my coworker here tells me that they fooled me. Repair shops will tell you that you need more things so you spend more and help their business. She says her husband used to work at Firestone and he knows how that deal goes and they will do that to people.
Has this happened to you? How do you deal with this? Should I learn to rapair my car on my own? Do you recommend an autodidactic car repair material?

If it is possible. I would like to know how much it cost (parts and labor)? How far it go per tank ( size approximately 16 inches tall, 14 inches width)? I think couple of parts would be taken out that convert sulfer to safe exause. And what are the advantages and disadvantages in the change?

I have a YAMAHA Radian, that is having some Carb issues, I live at an Eleveation of about 5000 ft, the float height is set to 21 mm of the gasket surface, and it runs great high in the RPMs, but sometimes I had to double clutch it to get it off the line. So I made sure the carbs where clean, rechecked the floats, and ran it, and same thing. So I checked the plugs and they were sooty, so I leaned the fuel screws by 1/8th of a turn, and now it pops, like it is backfiring, and it is now running lean. The hesitation is better but still there a little. I don't want to go to much leaner, and if I do, the poping gets worse.
Help... Carbs are stock, encgine is stock other that it just had new gaskets installed, and I am running a K&N filter.

I am not thinking of doing this; i'm just curious. Let's say I was going 70 mph...would the car slow down gradually as though I were pressing on the brake, would the car just come to a sudden stop, or would the car start to skid? What would happen?

Does anyone know how to reset the Immobiliser on a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

When I unlock car with the fob all the doors unlock apart from the drivers door. I can open this by putting the key in the lock but then the car is still immobilised and so will not start. It may be a problem with the central locking which I assume is connected to the immobiliser in some way. At first the alarm would go off when I opened the drivers door but now it does not.

Any ideas please?

Hi, I was visiting Boston and got a car rental from the airport. As I exited the airport I found myself at a toll booth with no US cash (I had Canadian cash but that was no good). The collector then took my driver's license and put down some details on an envelope and asked me to sign it. He also noted the license plate #, and then gave me the envelope saying I should mail a check within 14 days to avoid a fine.
Apart from the embarrassment and the fact that I feel really bad, is there anything else that I should worry about in terms of my driving record or insurance?

I have a 1988 Intruder VS 1400. I've had a lot of electrical gremlins and I'm still working them out. Right now the bike won't start or even try to start. I have bypassed the clutch switch. The "kill" switch is working. I had the battery load tested and everything is said to be okay. And I just put a new starter relay on. When I try to start the bike, I just here a click from the relays under the seat. There is no cranking of the engine. I assumed it was the starter relay, but after installing the new one the problem persists. If i "jump" the starter relay the bike will turn and fire and run, but I just can't get it to start on it's own. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

I'm writing a book which involves a sailing trip. It would have to be a relatively small sailboat but able to sleep about 3 people. And I was wondering, does such a thing exist?

I know that speedboats often have quite large cabins, and obviously bigger cruise ships do, but can you get 'family' size sailing boats for trips?

I know someone who recently bought a new car that theyI really don't want. They want to do something to it that would total it so that it gets paid off by the insurance company. I know this is illegal and is considered insurance fraud and have informed them of this. They probably wouldn't have the b**lls to do it anyway.
