My engine light is on, and my mechanic has identified it as the problem, but I think he wants too much. Car is running fine though. A new O2 sensor didn't do the trick. 190,000 miles. If it's not too much, I'll fix it before I sell it.

I have a set of led lights that go into my car and the wire isnt long enough. I opened them up to extend the wire and what i found was a red wire connecting to a switch and a green wire connecting to a diode. Is it safe to lenthen the wire? and how would i go about doing so? should i put to new wires in the place and connect the other ends to the red and green? or just sepperate another wire at the same place those are? neither the red and green are sheilded seperatly

I don't like braids and I don't want to wear a bandanna. When we get off the bike at a party or whatever I still want to wear my hair down. Any other suggestions?

I hooked everything up accordingly, hopefully. Can anybody tell me why it wouldn't turn off properly, or which wire would control the automatic amp turn off (e.g. radio ignition wire). Thanks!

A gas boycott doesnt work when people are burning the same amount of gas with their own full tank. We need to bike or take public transportation when we live close enough to work.

I know you are supposed to change your oil filter every time you change your oil, but I could not get the oil filter off. So, I put clean oil into my car and left the old filter. How long can I drive my car like this? What do I do now?

It's for cars. When a tailgater honks at you, you press a button, and then a giant middle finger pops up for the guy behind you to see.

Can you handle the pressure from other drivers, if indeed you will eventually allow the student to drive on public roads before they are good at it? Can you deal with the possible wear on your clutch? Ever tried to do this? Could you do it?

The car has rims (I'm not sure, but I think they're 18s.) The tires are very thin.

Today the tire was making a sound like it was flat as I was driving. When I looked at it, it did not look flat (but hard to tell since it's so thin.) I noticed a bulge on one side of the tire and what looks like a gash on the other.

Can you help me out and tell me what the problem is please? Does this sounds like it needs to be fixed, and if so, will I need someone else to replace the tire because of the rims? My husband is deployed and I have no idea what is going on or how I would even fix the problem. Also, can you tell me how this might have happened?

I recently inherited this little go-machine from my grandpa, and I LOVE it! Of course, it has a few kinks to work out.
My main problem is the carburetor for the right cylinder. Either it's not letting enough air through or it's mixing in too much fuel. I want to try to take it apart, but I also don't want to break anything!
Does anyone know where I could maybe find info on this? I can find a parts guide, but no repair manual of any kind.
Also, if anyone has done this kind of work on this motorcycle or a similar one, that would help as well. The engine is a Yamaha 247cc. 2-stroke.
Thanks very much!

OK, i'm turning 16 in 6 momnths, so i'm starting to look at cars. I always liked the warnglers, and live in a place where that would be perfect, because near NY, we get snow and heat, so the removable rookf/doors would be awsome, but the 4x4 for the snow would be great too. i have about 10 grand of my own money, and my parents said they will match whatever i pay for a car-so half. now has anyone had any expirience with wranglers, and if so do you think it would be a good first car for a nice used one? i know how to drive, i have been driving since forever, and i doubt i'm going to beat it up because i do have driving expirience, but i ahve afew questions:
-how bad is the insurance on these for a new driver?
-how bad are they on gas?
-would it be able to tow a large trailer with 2-3 quads(2 light sport machines, one big utility)
-soft or hard top? i live in a seasonal place, so the weather really changes.
-maintenance issues/consistent problems?
-anything else i should know about?

I know about West Oxfordshire Motor Auctions and a couple of specialised dealers in the U.K., but anyway, I'm looking for left-hand-drive. I know about Ventes Domaniales in France, and about Zoll-Auktion and VEBEG in Germany. Can anyone help me with similar websites for Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Greenland, Iceland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, or Switzerland? France and Germany too if websites exist other than those I know of.
