Man the rider community is already split. I only ride Harley Davidson motorcycles, I only wave at those I recognize as true bikers, when in doubt **** em. The hell with Scooters, Crotch Rockets, Mopeds, yuppies and wannabees, they are not part of my Biker Culture.

Well I can hear the banjo's playing down in the swamps from here as I can see that there is a lot of inbred rednecks out there. Riding a Harley does not make you a man, but if you grow up you may realise that everyone one on two wheels is part of the same community and we look after our own no matter what we ride. Also a note for the ill informed, Harley made scooters at one time too. Maybe you could get one for your Mom.

Ozraikat and Doug h got you scared?
I wave to all riders! I do not care what they ride as long as they ride. Shoot, I wave at the crazy skydivers when I'm home on the rare weekends, and they think I'm nuts for riding.

Remember, if someone waves at you and you don't return the wave, bad luck will come your way.

Oh,and my Honda Reflex SCOOTER does an 80 mile round trip commute daily, ran or shine. It can do 80MPH and still get 65MPH.
Peace

I see your point but.. do you really think you are on a proper motorcycle??
they are inexperianced and dont yet know that a Harley is not a proper bike and biker to be waving at!!!!!
harleys break down alot.. expensive.. bad riding position makes you ache and not good for long miles and small tanks!.... only good for americas roads (all straight lines). and very easy to get caught up in the bike when it crashes behind those big stupid bars, and lets be honest.. whats fun about road bikes without carving though some twisty roads.
the only disapline of bikes it commands is the catagory of "POSER"
lets see you ride a scooter in the 3 inch+ of snow at 50mph!
for "scooter boyz", "hardly abledsons" are great.
the only difference is that they will grow up and in a few years ride a real bike!!..
for real bikers... well... I will wave at the mopeds but not the stuck up idiots like you who think they are above every other biker.. for what they ride.
its not what you ride but how you ride it!!!!

A scooter still has two wheels, I still wave regardless of the brand/style of bike (or even if it has 3 wheels). Because you never know what else is in the shed at home.
Besides, you don't want to have rival 'gang-type' riders it's hard enough to ride without being abused by those 4 wheeled monstrosity's we don't need to have a split in the rider community.
Some of those scooters can keep up with, if not over-take some of the modern Harley's. (they are now getting to be 600cc motors on them)
The other thing you don't like it when Harley's given a hard time for the bikes & the riding styles, don't do it to anyone else

frigin idiots. I own a harley and a scooter and yeah I get the snub when all the harleys go by. I enjoy a variety of bikes. putting one down because of where it came from or what it is is rediculous. My scooter goes 115 and I bet alot of harleys wont do that. and get 50 mpg. I carry it with me on trips, its quieter in rv parks. So just because you see me on a scooter does not mean its all I have. I go to rallies and half everyone there is a wanna be weekend rider.

in case you haven't noticed. HD isn't the biggest bike on the street.........don't be dick, if another bike waves, wave back, we're all brothers under the helmet. yeah i even wave at HD riders, snickering all the time on how they paid out the a.s.s for a under powered, over priced piece of 100 year old technology. it's jerks like you that give riding a bad name. it's like wow god didn't give me a penis so i guess i'll just go buy one.

A scooter is a motorcycle.
A motorcycle license is required to operate one on public roads.
Scooters are made with 50cc engines up to 650cc
Would you give the finger to a scooterist that's driving at 95mph?
Why disrespect someone for riding a 50cc bike.
