My friend just bought a car, had a trade-in, signed the contract for a specific term, payment amount, trade in allowance, and new car price. But the "lender name" was blank. He's had possession of the new vehicle for a couple weeks and now the dealer is saying they couldnt get financing approved at the contract terms. They want him to re-sign a new contract with a higher payment, higher interest rate, and a longer term. They also SOLD his trade-in already.
What are his options now?
They wanted to give him a check for his trade in that would be short $3500 to payoff the loan, and he would have to give them back the car, leaving him with no car at all.

My ses light had been coming on for about the last year. Every time I would have it diagnosed, the catalytic converter and oxygen sensors would come up. I have had them both changed three times. I went to Autozone and had them erase the trouble code. The light went off, but then came back on the same day. It then went off again the next day. The light had been off ever since until I got my oil changed yesterday. It came on during my ride home. What could the problem be, and how could I reset the light?

I can not find a 12 pt socket, the local harley dealer says that it is only available from snap-on and the local snap-on distributer won't return phone calls, I need to remove the brake pad pin to replace my brake pads on the rear of a 2005 sportster.

1991 Yamaha zfr600 old battery didnt have right cranking amps but after jump would run just fine until you killed ignition. I got the real replacment battrey with the right cranking amps and the machine dies just after dumping it into fist gear. What on earth is happenning?????

So after getting my car towed and finding out the engine was blown:

We are wondering if Jiffy Lube may have been the cause. If they left the bottom oil cap open without closing it, would it have caused the engine to blow within a 2-3 week period?

We just got an oil change around this time, and now noticed that oil was leaking at the bottom of the car.

If it can.
What legal steps can I take, and is there a way to prove liability on their part?

Please help. We're virtually screwed without this car.

I have a 2002 Ford Focus and it won't start. Tried jumping it and that didn't work. I just installed a new battery about 2 weeks ago. Could it be my starter? When I try to turn over the motor I only hear a clicking sound. I also tried tapping on the starter, but that didn't work. Any suggestions? Thanks.

so my mtx thunder tc3001's manual recommends i use 4 gage for best result but i dont have any so i used two 8gage wires to run from the battery to the amplifier as well as for the ground (2 8gage from ground to amp) so my question is will it amount to as much power as a 4gage or even close ? and is there any risk? a guy at a stereo place told me it would be ok,it should amount to just as much power as a 4gage...but just want to double check i dont want to blow anything up

I just bought my civic 2 weeks ago. Waiting for dealer apointment, but I was wondering if anyone know why the car would made a horrible almost deathly squeeling noise when I got up to 30 mph and only stop when I went back to zero. Brakes dont feel like they are stuck, timing belts are brand new. I am stumped. 1000 miles on it.

I live in Wyoming, and I will be buying a vehichle soon, I'm just not sure what is best for driving in the winter... 4 wheel drive, all wheel drive, or front wheel drive.
In the winter, the roads get icy, snow packed, sometimes slushy... generally really crappy and I don't want to be in a foolish winter vehichle!!

I have a Ford 350 Box Truck. I am a female that is why I am asking. We just put in a new transmission. I just put in a new battery as well. The truck is not starting up, but if I jump it, it does usually. I was told The wire is broke, something about the head of it that connects the battery to the alternator. What is that head called?
