Absolutely none, John, because even new cars have problems that have yet to be found, but, the most important thing is the moment you drive off the lot you lose 2 grand or more because it is now a used car. Many people know this and buy either last year's model or even a two year model. A vehicle is transportation, you don't need it to get a girl (any girl you got because of your car won't last) and you don't need it to look professional or rich, be professional and get rich. In a 2 yr old car.

Depends upon what you want. I bought a new Ford Fusion SEL V-6 just over a year ago and am still in the "Honeymoon Phase" one year and 17,000 miles on. Best car I've ever owned -- fuel and oil changes are the ONLY expenditures so far. My daily driver prior to that was a C-Class Benz, so that should tell you something.

depends on what you're after. if you are looking to do a lot of mods on a budget, you can't beat a honda civic. me personally, I would love to have a suburu wrx sti. huge afermarket support for it, tons of power from the factory, all wheel drive, great looks. or maybe a mistubishi evo for pretty much the same reasons. looking for gas mileage? honda fit. plus the aftermarket is making more and more stuff for it for modding.
