i've got a proton impian with a standard fit clarion cd player .what does the 'tp' on my cars lcd screen mean. and how do i turn it off.

It is only the Traffic Programme it turns your radio up when there is a traffic alert.

Traffic information. There should be a button for it labelled TP, TA, Traffic, Info, or similar. Or it may be hidden and need a two button press to activate it. If the radio is not original, but the LCD screen is, the TP may be always on with no means in the radio of turning it off. It is for traffic annoucements, to turn it off you usually have to press the tp button and hold it down while pressing another button, could be the power button, the cd button, tuning button, you will have to experiment.
