I was waiting for my sister in the car, the engine is on and then the car suddently broke down. At first I thought my car ran out of oil, but then I fill in the oil, it still wouldn't start. So I checked the engine oil, and it's kind of empty. So I go get the engine oil, but it still wouldn't start! Then my friend came, and he tried replacing the battery with his car's battery. The car still wouldn't start! So it's not the oils and battery's fault. But then we tried using the jumper. And again, it still wouldn't start! What could go wrong?

Hi, so i have recently bought a Sonata GLS 2004. I am not familiar with the transmision. There is the ususal P,R,N, and D. But there is also to the side a + and a -. They seem to work like a stickshift. you probably won't understand my question unless you have like this car. but anyway, what are the + and the -. and should i use it in the city or highway??
also, is the Sonata good on gas or does it use alot of gas in general??/

I'm about to purchase a '99 Toyota Celica GT Convertable with only 81,000 miles with proper care being taken by previous owner. Even had a 90,000 mile maintance done it at 80,000 miles. I'm just curious as to what problems may be in store for me for this car in the general sense. Like any problems that are normal to happen for this make model and year of car for most owners. Thanks

The cables are the "bolt-on " type ( not clamp ) When the key is turned on, there is a click-click-click sound with the instrument panel lights going on and off. The garage mechanic has told me the battery and alternator are ok. Could the starter motor be bad? ( I want to rule out faulty battery connections first ). Thank you.

I'm signing up for a rider's safety course to get my motorcycle license next month. I know nothing about motorcycles or helmets other than they get chicks, hence why I'm doing it LOL.

I need to pick a helmet before class starts. What do you recommend I look for? I was on eBay. Some of them are around $160-200 while some are around $50. That doesn't make sense to me. Are the cheap ones unsafe?

What color helmet should I go for? I want to get a sport bike but I have no idea what color its going to be.

I have a 95 Taurus. Bought in Jan 07. Worked fine, then it started stalling on me today. Drove it like 50 miles, then on the way home, it was trying to be sluggish. Then I tried to give it gas, and it wouldn't go. Then it putted, and knocked lightly, and stalled. Happened yesterday also. Tried to restart, and it did, but only for a second. Sounded like it was revving up and putting, revving up and putting. Then it stalled out. I started pushing it home, and about half way there, it started again and drove the rest of the way home (Approx 3 blocks) it acted fine.
Could you tell me what is going on and what I need to fix it??? Thanks in advance.

My great aunt is about to give me an '84 Audi. It was one of 100 built. Either this type or this exact car was used in the '84 Olympics held in L.A. I was wondering if anyone had any information pertaining to this type of car. I would like to know the model, and perhaps an estimated value. Allright, my car was having problems with the cooling fan. It would always come on because of a rigging that the previous owner did. I figured something was either wrong with the temperature sensor or the relay for the fan because the guy i bought it off of bypassed both of them and ran the fan directly to the fuse box so it was alwasy on no matter what the temperature of the car was. this weekend i replaced the temperature sensor and the relay thinking that the fan would work properly. I also thought that it would fix the problem of the non-working temperature gauge on the dashboard. Well, needless to say the temperature gauge on the dashboard still doesnt work and the car doesnt quite seem like its running up to par. I was wondering where i can find a new temperature gauge for the dashboard. I was also wondering what else could be causing my fan to turn on at the wrong times. If anyone can help me with this that would be GREAT!!! thanks in advance.

on the newish cars.on the dash it shows you how many miles your doing {miles} how does that work.in the old cars it was a cable to the wheel.but now??????????also is there a way to stop it from showing the miles u do.?if so how.? my only reason is i have my eye on a car.it shows very low mileage could u explain how it works and how can u stop it clocking up the miles. lol keep it easy cos im a girl help me guys x

If I am going the speed limit and not doing anything wrong, can an officer pull me over if he runs my plates? Second question: can an officer run my plates for the hell of it or does he need a legal reason?

drive home from college, which is 3 hours away. I am always scared out of my mind when I see a cop and think I'm going to do something stupid. I've gotten pulled over for practically nothing, when I've heard my friends getting off for worse things. At the moment, I do not have my license. It is suspended.

Have a small cycle (350) I like to take out when the weather is good to ride back and forth to work. It is fun but tricky in the city. People don't see you and some are downright rude. I enjoy riding though and it's good on the wallet.
