I just traded one in that Ive had for the past 4 yrs and my average MPG was beleive it or not, around 20-22 on the highway. The only things done to it was a comp. chip, cold-air intake and opened up the exhaust a little with a less restrictive muffler and cat. On an average you should be around 19 or so.

A 4-cylinder Malibu averaged 22.5 mpg in a mix of city and expressway driving. A Malibu V6 returned about 19 mpg

Check www.msnautos.com or www.edmunds.com they may tell the mpg and many other facts about the car.

i own a shop ,and if its tuned really good it should get around 20 or better ,that's if everything is in really good condition on it,most of the ones i work on will average a little over twenty,if driven right ,good luck hope this helps.
