I have taken it to the Garage and they can't seem to find a problem or even notice it. But there is definitely a strong smell of petrol always coming from car so bad you cannot always have the windows open - does anyone else have the same car and has noticed the same thing. Or is there something wrong with mine?

Although I can't really afford to have one constructed, it would be nice to have them in case my ship came in (please pardon the pun).

Hey guys, I currently work for a company called Prime Shuttle and I happened to get this letter about my work car...(I sorta own it).

To Whom it may concern:
As of this date below, this carrier posesses valid charter party carrier authority from the california public utilities commision.because a CA DMV "commercial" license plate designation has not yet been issued for the vehicle listed below, a CPU decal cannot be issued for this vehicle at this time.

This letter authorizes this carrier to operate this vehicle pursuant to his/her/their charter party carrier authority for a period of 60 days from the date indicated below without displaying a CPUC decal, PROVIDED that the carrier also:
1.Maintains the "active" status of the above TCF operating authority
2.conforms with all other TCP display requirements contained in CPUC general order 157-C and
3.obeys all other CPUC rules and regulations.

body type:VAN Model:2002 etc

THIS LETTER IS VALID ONLY IF EMBOSSED WITH THE COMMISION SEAL

I own a 1986 Volvo 240 GL. When the gasoline tank is full, the car runs great. When the gasoline level hits the halfway mark or below, the car starts acting up. At times when I hit the accelerator it feels like the car is going to run out of gas/loses might/shakes a bit. I have to let go of the accelerator for a second and then press down on it again for the car to run normally.
I was wondering if this problem rings a bell for any mechanics or automobile experts?? Is there a simple solution I can try (i.e. fuel injector cleaner or gas treatment, etc.)?? Any suggestions or helpful comments are appreciated.

The manual says between 10mm and 15mm slack is called for. I think I had the cable misadjusted previously, because I have been having problems getting into neutral when the bike is stopped in gear, and also the bike sometimes "creeps" forward when the clutch is pulled in.

What I'm noticing is that the lever free play changes when you move the handlebars. For example I am at 10mm at lock left, and 15mm at lock right with the bike cold. big difference! Doesn't the freeplay also get larger when the bike is warm?

So, does it sound like I have the lever adjusted properly?

I currently have my car registered and insured in Texas under my parents policy. I'm moving to CA next week and will be getting my own policy. I made an appointment to get a CA driver's license and register the car, etc. Do I need to show proof of CA insurance in order to register the car (or will my Texas policy be okay at the time until I get a new CA policy)? If I need to show proof of a CA insurance policy before I register the car, isn't it weird to get insurance for CA when I still have a TX driver's license? Or does this not matter and you just update your driver's license info with the new insurance company. Thanks.

you can kick the motor over and the kickstart won't come back up on it's own you have to pull it back up with your hand what could be wrong? is their a spring on the internal part under the cover on the right side of the motor or is it external? but it looks to me like something has broke because if i look from the opposite side from the kicker i can see the shaft from the kicker!

I dont like to down shift, i just put it in neutral whenever i want to slow down... Is it more wear & tear on the clutch if i hold it down all the way until i have to brake for the stop, or if i push it in once to take it out of gear, and then push it in again when it's time to brake? Basically does it wear more on the clutch when it's pushed in & out or when its held in?

I installed new Boston Acoustic speakers in my Civic in the back, and they sound horrible. The factory speakers were much better - better clarity, louder, more bass. Did I do something wrong?

FYI - I'm using the stock receiver.

I have removed the alternator from the mountinjg points in my Merc Tracer and have discovered that the top support bracket and a/c line prevent me from removing it upward and the drive shaft and engine or chassis stop me from below. Has anyone out there tackled this task and if so, which way did you go to get the old one out and the new one in?

Ive had this bike for 1 week now. Up until today it started right up. I left it outside today and it rained a bit. My guess is the rain got in the exhaust because when i did get it to start up it backfired or would just idle at a low 500 rpms. Any ideas?
