My boyfriend was involved in an minor accident last year, infortunately at the time he was not insured i know (idiot but he didn't intend to drive it till it was but a friend was in trouble). anyway the police gave him a fine of £200 for not having insurance he has since paid this but has now receive a court summons for not having all the documents required at the scene, we don't understand why he has been summoned the only documents he didn't have were insurance and he has already been fined for that so does anyone know why he's should be summoned for something he thought was over with??

I have two nice sets of 6.5 componets. On the box it says 4ohms so I am assuming that is the load present at the crossover??

Each set handles 200/w rms and I have a 2 channel 800/w rms amp.

I will need to put a 2ohm load to each channel on the amp. So I will have to wire two 4ohm speakers down to two ohms, can someone tell me wich type of wiring to do.

I am a bit rusty since my last system install and I appreciate the help!!

my husband came out of work on Friday to a flat tyre, took it to local kwik fit on Sat morning, repair done, Sunday afternoon same tyre flat, went back to kwik fit, who said the original puncture was repaired, they found a further two punctures and advised a new tyre. Purchased brand new tyre at 3pm yesterday, drove home, got into work to be told by a colleague same tyre again is flat. We've not had one in years and now all of a sudden, this is happening!!! Thanks

Someone once told me that by popping in a couple of mothballs (the type that has Naptha{?} something or other...) whenever I fill up my gas-tank, would improve engine performance & mpg. Is there any merit to this claim? Would anyone know where the concept may have originated?

I purchesed a car on 24th jan, the car went into a nissan main dealer to try and fix a engine problem they had the car for over 6weeks and problem is still not fixed. between 24th of jan and now(26thmarch) iv only had the car for 12-14days!! i purchesed the car on hp. i got the car back from nissan on saturday at 11.30am by 13.00 the engine problem, it originally went in for came back and by 16.00 the back wheel which had not been put back on correctly nearly came off whilst driving and snaped two of the studs off. just would like some advice on where i can go from here?? as in legally or claiming compensation for the hp payments iv made while not using the car (the car is a 2003 nissan patrol) thanks , sean

I Think it may be an electrical problem, but I'm not sure. Every once in a while, the door ajar light lights up on my instrument panel while I'm driving. Usually it happens when accelerating after stopping at red lights or so. It happens about every other day, once or twice. I think it may be electrical because when it started happening, my engine would seem to lose power. At first, it was really bad, to the point where my engine would almost stall right after starting it and the light would come up. I changed all the spark plugs and spark plug cables, and it stopped the engine problem related to it. Now, the light just comes on for about 3 seconds and then goes away. What could be the problem? Any suggestions? I don't believe it's serious, but I would like to get i fixed right away before taking it to an auto shop, where I will most likely be ripped off.

I have a 1980 F100 pickup with a 300 in-line six cylinder engine. I'm not mechanically inclined and I'm tired of messing with manual transmissions and changing clutches. So, I'm wondering if an automatic transmission would work on it and if it would, what size would I need for it?

A few years ago I had a minor bump in my car, as it was outside a volvo main dealer I asked for a quote to repair it. They quoted £690 including a guarantee on repairs. Insurance company wanted it to go to approved repairer, ended up costing £1790. No wonder insurance is so expensive.

You would actually expect a posh main dealer to charge more than an approved but tatty repair shop.

i want to lower my car as far as possible with 15" wheels. i have already lowered it by 40mm, but know it could easily go another 30mm. is coilovers my only option. i'm on a tight budget. any other ways, or cheap kits that will give me around a -80mm drop?

I'm thinking of selling the bike only for the reason that it does not have a seft starter. Other wise the motorcycle has given me absolutely no problems. Have clocked 49,000Kms, alloys, already and in excellent original condition. gives a good average of 42kmpl too.
