I just bought a 91 s10 and the sway bar or what i believe to be the sway bar is not attached. The bar runs from the a-arm to the other a-arm and right now it is only held in place by a mount on the middle of the bar. I think it needs to be bolted on each end to the a-arms. Is it difficult to re-attach the bar and are any special tools needed?

i have the ability and patience to wash, polish and wax cars as well as clean it from the inside, but the problem is im not perfect for example if a customer would give me a car with a scratch in it or swirl marks i will probably not be able to fix that but i can make the car much cleaner and a hell of a lot more shiney than they gave it to me. also i will not be able to clean the engine because i am afraid of messing anything up. all these things besides the fact that im a teen are keeping me from starting a small car detailing business, so i was wandering what do you think should i, should i not? oh and btw if i were to start one i was thinking of charging only $30 per car due to the fact that im not as good as the pro's which charge any where from 100-500.

And, why might the rear light (light) on the dash come on even though the rear lights have been tested and stay on all the time? And, what maintenance should be looked into with that many miles on the car? I just bought the car.

How do you convert efi 4 cylinder inline to a carberated one I have a identical carb engine and am changing it so i dont have to pay $600 for new efi, I dont want to do full engine pull "what all needs changed?" Any info will help

I have heard half a dozen different stories as to what became of the Lincoln Continental limo JFK was riding in when he was shot. I heard LBJ had the car pulled from service and destroyed. I also heard it was put back into service, as well as another yarn that it was stolen. One account suggests it is in a private collection while another suggests the car is in a museum.
What's the real story? If by chance its in a real museum- what percentage of it is original, datring back to Nv 1963? The rumor regarding it being in a museum also suggests the car was gutted, rebuilt and repainted.

the differential in my 1963 chevy 1/2 ton pickup ate a bearing.

It was the one on the "third member" shaft
(the part that connects to the driveshaft)

I replaced the bearing and have it all back together now.
What torque wrench setting should I use when reinstalling the brackets that hold the races on the axle bearings? what about the pin that holds the rod in the center that keeps everything in place?

any other helpful hints?

1994 Chevy K1500 P/U 5.7 liter 350 4X4 5 speed. When the truck is under a hard pull the valves start knocking, the knock sensor adjust the timing and the check engine light comes on. The code for the light is "not detecting knock sensor". I have changed the pcv valve (which was suggested) and no change. This has went on for about 5 years. Doesn't matter the grade of fuel I use. Routine maintance and tune ups have been done to this truck. The converter was taken off 7 years ago because it was clogged. The truck runs rich after the timing adjust. The light resets itself when it is turned off. ( the code is saved)

Last month head gasket has been replaced due to coolant leakage. So overheating problem has been solved. Also replaced water pump and timi belt. Car run 125000 miles. After replacing head gasket it run around 400 miles. Today I found some OIL leakage near engine area. But this OIL is not found under the CAR in the parking area. What might be reasons for the same.

I my lifetime I saw the decline and death of the automakers AMC, Rambler, Studabaker and Oldsmobile- i was debating with a friend0- he asserts these compnaies all died out for the same reason- inferior quality- is this true? I was sad to see AMC go- the AMC javelin was one of the best 'muscle cars' ever made..

I am now considering a Jag x type. Looking at years 01-03. Really like the "sport" edition. Also, was told to get the 3.0 as opposed to the 2.5. Any feedback? Looking at them with less than 60k miles. Navigation system, should i wait and find one with a Nav system in it or do those of you that have them, really not use them all that much?
