Whatever you decide on make sure consider resale value along with Consumer Guide. As far as resale, Toyota's are at the top followed by some of the other imports. One that was traded in yesterday that totally caught me off guard was the small Saturn SUV. Not my kind of car but it did have a good resale value. Most GM products do better than Ford. (sorry all you Ford people) The Excursion and the Explorer are at the bottom.

The Nissan Armada
I work for a rental car company and I drive all these vehichles. The Armada is by far the best large SUV on the road. I took it on a six hour road trip with 5 other friends. We were comfortable!
The new tahoe is okay too, but not as awesome as the Armada.....very similar to the Infiniti large SUV, just not as costly.

I sold 3 new Expeditions last week.
First buyer traded a Tahoe
Second, a Chrysler mini-van
Third, a High-Top Conversion van.
All three customers did their homework & considered other vehicles but decided on the Expedition for various reasons.
But it really depends on your individual needs.
{{{ I know it sounds absurd, with all the talk about fuel economy, & big SUVs , & how the "Big 3" need to concentrate more on their cars than trucks & SUVs. But people still keep buying them.}}}

in case you're picking between the tahoe or the trailblazer, there does no longer be that a great number of a difference in terms of gasoline performance. you will nonetheless be pulling over to replenish each so regularly. what might make a difference may well be the two: one million. getting a hybrid version, or 2. save around for a diesel SUV. yet then, the priority is that hybrids are hella costly (plus you do no longer comprehend how plenty it would value to maintain the electrical powered engine), and diesels are extra costly to maintain (and extra durable to locate, i think of?). in case you propose on keeping the motor vehicle for extremely a whilst, like in line with possibility 8 years or extra, then you certainly can decide for the two the diesel or the hybrid. in any different case, you're extra ideal off purely getting the petrol-powered version.

Toyotas are well built and worth every penny. We have a 4 runner and runs like a dream....and it's 8 years old. Just maintain it and it will take care of you. It's a rugged truck which we need in here in the NW, it fitsd our lifestyle, it's comfortable ...and it still looks great! Highly recommend any Toyota. Now it's not built in the US, but it's not a peice of
sh!tt ....

I recommend the Nissan Pathfinder because it offers better fuel mileage, and the price is not unbearable. Nissan engines also last longer and run better then that of American bred automobiles.
