This is a stupid question, if the car was going to fall it is not going to wait for you to stick you arm under it to do so. If you know what your doing you should know that you jack your car up on the skid plates. You just simply pull the stands out there is no special TECHNIQUE for a two second action of pulling the jack stands from under the car. Helloooooooooo

If you feel like you want to crawl up underneath a 3000 lb car that is unstable be my guest. When you are working on something that has the possiblity of crushing the life out of you it's best to THINK about the worst and avoid it. I have had a car drop off a jack a few times while Positioning or removing the jack stands I am very glad I had the space needed to keep my hands from being crushed. Just one of the important rules when you are working with unforgiving equipment.

A big push broom also works or for that matter you could tie a rope to each one. You have options on removal!

It may fall and you can move your arm a lot faster than your body, and the most you will lose is the arm not your life.
