Hey guys, I currently work for a company called Prime Shuttle and I happened to get this letter about my work car...(I sorta own it).

To Whom it may concern:
As of this date below, this carrier posesses valid charter party carrier authority from the california public utilities commision.because a CA DMV "commercial" license plate designation has not yet been issued for the vehicle listed below, a CPU decal cannot be issued for this vehicle at this time.

This letter authorizes this carrier to operate this vehicle pursuant to his/her/their charter party carrier authority for a period of 60 days from the date indicated below without displaying a CPUC decal, PROVIDED that the carrier also:
1.Maintains the "active" status of the above TCF operating authority
2.conforms with all other TCP display requirements contained in CPUC general order 157-C and
3.obeys all other CPUC rules and regulations.

body type:VAN Model:2002 etc

THIS LETTER IS VALID ONLY IF EMBOSSED WITH THE COMMISION SEAL

So what is the question?

You don't have a "commercial" plate on that vehicle, so you can't use the normal method, which is to vinyl decal the TCP number on the sides and that's it.

You could still put the TCP-number as the decal, but you'll need to keep that letter with the van at all times, (along with all the other paperwork, such as registration, insurance ACORD cert, and all that).

And get that commercial plate ASAP.
