I have a Yamaha TT-R230. When I start it up, and let it run or go out and ride, is it chraging the battery? It's electric start.

I know cars, yes, it is charging the battery. But, I wasn't sure because it takes very little power from the battery to start it up.
And when cars start up, it takes almost a quarter of the battery to start it up. Because it is so big.

My BMW 318 ic 1994 says I have no gas! The light is on and the line is completely down to the bottom. I just filled up the car! Also, the ABS light has come on. What is wrong with my car? And how much will it cost to fix it? Thanks!

I have a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier and it runs fine except when you put the car in reverse on a hill. The car starts to go in reverse and usually just sits and spins. The only time it does this is when you are on a hill. Any other time it does fine in reverse. No one seems to know what the problem is. I was curious as to whether anyone here did. Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm thinking about buying a '94-'98 mustang, but first I'd like to know, which is most reliable? I know that some years are better than others. Also, convertible or not? This will be my very first car, and I want to have the best I can get.

One of my friends lives in Oregon in the country and was partying at a house a while back. Instead of walking home, he took a riding lawnmower on the shoulder of the road and consequently got a DUI. The road isn't even that heavily traveled at all and the lawnmower doesnt go fast. Long story short, his licence is gone for FIVE years. Damn Oregon came down on him hard.

I'm in no way condoning drinking and mowing, but geez.

I live in Cali and have never heard of 5 years being the norm for first time DUI let alone a riding lawnmower DUI.

Ok, I own an 85' Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. It needs some work. Here is a list of things that it needs:

-Fix a leak in the transmission
-A New muffler and exhaust pipe
-A Tune-up
-An oil change
-Wiper blades

I'm taking it to a mechanic for everything because I don't wanna mess anything else. I need to know how much this is all going to cost before I go so I have the money. Preferably would like an actual mechanic to answer this question but anyone who knows could give me their input too.

I need a really accurate quote or a really accurate ballpark quote, including costs of labor and all that. Thanks!

In 1981 there was a study done "The Hurt Report" of 3,600 motorcycle accidents in the LA California area. This study addressed Factors, Identification and Conclusions. Within the study there was no mention of loud pipes as a counter measure, but did show that "Chopper/semi chopper" motorcycles were over represented in the accidents. (Most Choppers have Loud Pipes) Majority of accidents were frontal, whereas the sound of a motorcycle is projected rearward and with Doppler sound compression M/C exhaust can not be heard. The average reaction time for an accident was 2 seconds; therefore cracking pipes to gain attention is false for the rider would not have enough time to react. (I’d try to stop before applying more throttle) Also almost 50% of all fatal M/C accidents are alcohol related by the rider. 73% of riders involved did not have proper or any eye protection. DOT Helmets save lives, safe riding saves lives, and high visibility saves lives. Obeying the law saves rights!

What would you pay for a car that has a prior salvage title. It has been hit in the rear... some bondo on the rear quarter panels (not much) and all that was need to be replaced was the front and rear bumper. Inside just like new.. only 50 thousand miles on it. I was jsut wonder what i sould start out asking if i wanted to sell it. Serious answers please. Car totally fixed.

Why are drivers/ bikers allowed to disrupt pedestrians rights to walk freely on sidewalks and cross walkways whether marked or not?
Why are vehicles allowed to block marked crosswalks and verbally and vehicularly assault pedestrians when it is the pedestrians time and right to be there?
Where are the police, when these violations are happening?
Why, when they see the violation happening don't they cite the driver right then and there?
Why are they not concerned about the small infractions that could lead to bigger and more deadly problems?
Pedestrians should not have to fear being hit, nor should they have to run for their lives and endure horn honking, etc. from inconsiderate drivers who are infected by the vehicle that takes over their brains causing them to be raging monsters.
How can we enforce our rights to walk in a safe environment, just as drivers have rights to drive without interference from equally inconsiderate pedestrians?
What is the value of a pedestrian's life?
