What would you pay for a car that has a prior salvage title. It has been hit in the rear... some bondo on the rear quarter panels (not much) and all that was need to be replaced was the front and rear bumper. Inside just like new.. only 50 thousand miles on it. I was jsut wonder what i sould start out asking if i wanted to sell it. Serious answers please. Car totally fixed.

Doesn't matter if looks brand new.... that "salvaged" title is a black mark and automatically lowers the value by at least 30%. You won't sell it unless you mark it down to around $3k.

If the bondo is good and quarter panels painted, I'd let that slide on an older car. If the bumpers are totally fixed (not just replaced with a wrecking yard one almost the right color Then i'd say the salvage title means its worth only 2/3 to 3/4 what similar cars with non-salvage titles. It may be perfectly good, but people are suspicious .

i would say $5,000 or 7,000 if is a gt. with a salvage title, the car loses 1/4 of its value. so do the math.
