Vehicle: 1981 Chevy 1/2 ton (Scottsdale)
Specs: 305ci (according to VIN);

At about the end of my wits on this one...

Problem: Starter sounds like it's trying to tear teeth off the flywheel.

Attempts to resolve:
Changed starter. worked for about a week, then started happening again.
Shimmed starter. worked about a week, problem again.
Got new bolts. good for a week, problem again.
Was able to realign and each time it happened and then problem again.
Got bigger bolts, this time size and installation by my mechanic.
Worked for about a week and today same thing.

Possible pattern: I've noticed that the problem doesn't happen unless the truck has been stopped for only 5 minutes and then started again. The problem has never begun again if the truck is left overnight without starting or at least a few hours.

The flywheel has all of its teeth and is in great shape (though not for long if this keeps happeneing.)

Any help or insight will be greatly appreciated.

I am leaking around 1/8 qt a day out of the breather pipe (which drains just under the air filter). Does that mean there is too much oil or is something wrong? 1981 Yamaha XT250 Enduro

My grandfather drove up today in his Camaro and shut the car off, and I walked by it maybe 10-15 minutes later and heard a boiling noise, so I went and got him and we looked under the hood and sure enough the coolant was boiling. He says that's normal and water boils at 220, we are at sea level, and that nothing is wrong. I say it's not normal and something's wrong. Who is right?

I got into a huge argument yesterday with my g/f. One of her mechanics told her that this heavy weight of oil was good for her car. She only drives in the city or down to see me. It is a 2000 corolla with about 80k miles, and it does leak oil apparently. I recommended 10W40 and to switch to a synthetic brand for a couple of months. We live in the Los Angeles suburban area, and the warmest it gets where she is in the summer could be around 105-110, and the coolest it gets in the winter is probably 35-40. Right now it is anywhere from 45-80 degrees night-day.
Thanks!

My cars stereo was stolen before i bought the car and i need help figuring out which color wire goes to the front right etc. The stereo i bought to put in my car has all of its wires labeled, whether its negitive or positive and which speaker it goes too, but none of it colors matches the ones left in my car from the factory stereo. Is there a website that has the wiring diagram, or does anyone know which color goes to what?

I want to fight my red light violation as it occured by less than a fraction.
Fact is
At that time it was not me who was driving.
It was my car though.

I am going to mention that the photo is not clear to identify the driver.

Please give your experience /help me to fight this case as I feel it is not worth paying around $400 (in california fine +class fee) for an lesss than a second jumping the right turn red light.
