My 05 Silverado has seperate lights for turn signals and brake lights. My trailer has these combined into one light. When I try to run my Brake wire to a turn signal wire it messes up everything. Is there a fix for this?

The adapter or 'converter' is the only way to make it work properly. This is common with newer cars which have seperate brake and turn signals. Also pops up in the other direction at times when towing a car with split lights behind an RV with combined lights. Any shop which installs hitches or most any RV dealer should be able to help you.

They sell a trailer light converter at auto parts stores to do the opposite. Maybe it works in the other direction. It's only about $12.

Spend $30 for inline adapter that plugs directly into the wiring harness above the bumper, under the bed.
