My van, a Mitsubishi 2.5L Diesel engine, has just went over the 80,000 kms mark in the odometer reading. My mechanic says that the timing belt should be changed. He says that by not doing so, the other mechanical whatnots in the engine may be affected. Why so?

i have a pontiac grand am and my car just started cutting off on me while im driving .if I let the car sit for a awhile it'll start up and drive for a little while and cut off the battery works good .and the car shakes when i try to start it up and cuts back off .could this be the fuel injection

I drive a 2000 Mazda 626 and lately, the engine has been idling eratically whenever it's in drive or in reverse. When pushing down on the peddle, it revs roughly until I get to about 50mph. It was doing this a few months ago and replaced the sparkplugs and then it was smooth until recently, again. In fact, now, it's worse than before...if not the sparkplug wires, is there anything else it could be?

I want to ADJUST on my gain using AUDIO CALC in trying to find out the RMS of my sub and my amp so i can see wich one is the match in the chart of the AUDIO CALC. if anybody can help me it would be cool. dont know too much about systems.if any one knows about AUDIO CALC LET ME KNOW SO YOU CAN GIVE ME THE RUN DOWN ON HOW TO DO THINGS!!!!my sub and amp dont show the RMS so if any could just tell me it would be cool

My car runs, but the ignition is broken. Meaning I can stick my key into the ignition but it wont turn at all, wont budge. So I am going to hotwire it, and I know how to, But I dont know how to shut the car off after I am done. Could you help me please? Haha, and no i'm not a criminal, sheesh. Thanks for any help :)

Its not my shocks...but when I go over a pothole or something like it...it sounds like something is loose. I had this problem on another GMC...a 1992 cutlass. I recall that it didn't cost much to fix, but if I can do it myself I will.

I have A 1972 Pontiac luxury le mans car that has 71,000 original miles on it, and i just bought it 5 days agao from a guy who owns a auto body shop. He had it in car shows because he has done so much work to it. it has a 350 v8 engine and its an automatic. Today I drove it keeping it under 55mph and when i drove into town, it started to cut off at stoplights or when i have to slow done below 10mph or so. Its not smoking or smelling funny. It was low on coolant so i took it to a mechanic and he helped me add coolant. tyen it sat for 6 hours while i as at work and then I started the engine and it basically did the same thing. What could this be? Jill

Can I do it?...

I bought a new car on Saturday and they gave me an estimate of what the interest rate would be and what I would have to pay. They said they'll try and get teh lowest possible. They don't really know til the banks open on Monday. So its monday and I go back to the dealership and they give me what they got... which was a 17% interest rate on $17000 for 66 months... $410 a month.

I seriously don't like this at all... I signed the contracts and what not for the car, but this is ridiculous... about $10000 interest on this car....

I traded my old vehicle in and was kinda rushed to buying...

Can I return it and get another car at the dealership?... I'm young and stupid... I don't like talkin to dealers cause I think they are liars most of the time...
