I had my katanas chain replaced about 3 years ago, parobably 11000 miles ago. I adjusted it at the end of last season but forgot to lube it and now 2000 miles into this season Its slapping the bike at around at probably 1.5 inch slack. Do I need a new chain or should I just adjust this one again and lube it up. I realy dont want to go through all that work if I have to replace the chain anyway.

Hi, I have a question regarding my 1997 Honda Prelude... The car has ~168k miles on it... The check engine light came on in 10/06 and I had it checked - it was EGR fluid insufficient flow.

The small independent shop recommended that I change my EGR valve. We changed it and the check engine light went off for a week, then it came back on. I went back to the shop and they think that the EGR valve might be defective, therefore they replaced it. However, the check engine light remains on since then. I lost faith in the shop and went out of money, therefore I let the check engine light on as it is since early this year.

At my recent oil change, the technician noticed that there's oil at the back of my engine, therefore suggested that my head gasket might have a leak. I have some money now but my budget is tight.

I would like to know what u think my prelude's check engine light is indicating, thus saving me money by not falling into anymore wrong diagnostics. Also, dealership?

I have a 1978 Kawasaki kz650. I cleaned the carbs, changed the oil/ oil filter, and change the spark plugs. When changing the plugs they where black. I know its running rich, so I adjusted the piolet jet. It runs fine when I am up and going. I just cant hammer it from a stand still. I have staight pipes on it as well. I am thinking of putting smaller main jets. Anything will help a tons. Thanks!

Hello everyone, I have a '97 Camry V4 2.2 (love the gas mileage, :) ). Last week when starting it, I would turn the key, get one click, and then nothing (no turning of the motor). Now this doesn't happen every time I go to start it, it may be in the morning or could be in the afternoon, both, or neither. I may have to try two or three times to start it, turn key, click, nothing, turn key, click, nothing, turn key, no click, engine turns over and starts. The battery was bought 4 or 5 months ago. I removed the starter and took it to Autozone to be tested, Starter passed test, three times (test included checking solenoid). Now I do not know how well this little test works and wether it could find a small problem with the starter. I also checked and sanded the battery terminals and cable connections to make sure I had a good connection. So what am I missing? I'm still thinking it's the starter, do any of you have and idea? Thanks!!!

Other than the year, we have an idea of the license plate number but not sure. I mean is there some kind of website I can go to to find out vehicle info, have no VIN nothing.
See what happened is that our car was stolen 3 days ago and we still haven't reported it because we don't know the license plate and it was registered to someone else also registered in OREGON state. All the paperwork for some dumb reason were in the car. Old classic car.

i have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 5.2 which has about 58k miles. it seemed the truck wasnt getting as good gas mileage as it was when i bought it so i did a tune up on it and when i put new spark plugs in, i got better mileage but a slightly rough idle, anything i did wrong or that i can do to give it a smooth idle? it still has the same plug wires but they look new and the truck always idle'd smooth until i changed the plugs.

A fly is travelling at 5 miles per hour head-on towards a train travelling at 100mph. As the train hits the fly it changes direction (as well as getting squished) and so starts travelling at -100mph. Which mean it has to pass through 0mph as it touches the train. If the fly is travelling at 0mph at the instant it touches the train, the puzzle goes that the train must also be travelling at 0mph. Is this right? I only got O'level Physics!

Dad gave me a 1989 Dodge Xplorer. I've never owned a motor home and know a minimal amount to maintain it. I let the generator go too long without cranking it on, and now it won't kick over. It acts like it WANTS to start, just won't quite get there.

The battery is good (charged it overnight from outlet on my house) and there is enough gas in the tank. Help a girl out, would ya?
Thanks!

I have been on the freeway twice since I bought my bike last year. I am scared because it feels like I'm going to get knocked off when I go over 60 mph. I think it's because of my heavy leather jacket. This jacket is not those jackets like in The Wild One. It must weigh like 4 to 5 pounds. I'm very light too, I weigh 140 lbs. My question is is it natural to encounter wind regardless of my jacket or is it the jacket?? If clothing's not a factor, what are some tips to ride the freeway? Thanks

Why do we (Harley riders) have to act like I.D.I.O.T.S. when rinding???

This past weekend I wend on a cruise with my (called buds) and its probably the last time I go with them. I actually told them this already... When I told them they all have nothing to say but they keep actiong like this...

The one thing I disliked the most is that at every freeking stop light they all have tho rumble their bikes, then they take off like if they stoled the bike, they flick everyone outhere and most of them have harley crap all over themselves. I guess I'm in no need of attention so I 'm getting a little sick of them. Funny thing is that I started this little club and I can't stand them.

I my self ride a harley but I don't act stupid or dress stupid either. whats happening with us now???

Any mature riders that I can ride with???

I was recently playing a trivia game, and it asserted that the paint of a jumbo jet had to be removed before repainting, due to the weight.

It said there could be up to 500lbs of paint put on the exterior of the plane, but even if this is true, that is marginal compared to the passengers and cargo the plane is carrying. 500lbs could be added if a family packs a lot of luggage.

So does anyone know whether there is any legitimacy of this fact?

Okay just about a month ago, I went to Sears and got a brake inspection by one of their brake specialist mechanics. He put my car in the air, I was looking at the bottom of it he checked every part of my brakes, showed me everything. And he said all I needed was two rear wheel cylinders (calibers). The mechanic out them on for me and told me everything else (brake pads, tie rods, ball joints, drums, rotors, etc.) was good and in good shape. So now two months later, I am wondering how can I tell if my brake pads are low, my brake pedal is going a little too far to the floor, but he showed me and my dad my brake pads and the leather on them were pretty thick. So I am wondering if my pads are thick why is my brake pedal still going too far to the ground? The car stops fine tho'

There is a whistling sound when I'm driving & not using my breaks. But I hear that you need to take it to get fixed immediately if you hear a grinding noise, which means you are messing your rotors up? But that's not the kind of noise I hear. It does sound like something is rubbing up against something that it shouldn't be. And it is really loud. But it doesn't sound like metal rubbing against metal. I don't have enough money to take it someplace & get fixed. If I can wait a week & then drive 2 hours to my dad's house, he'll replace the break pads. But is it safe for me to drive on for a week & will it be safe to drive the 2 hours it takes me to get to my parents?
