Why do we (Harley riders) have to act like I.D.I.O.T.S. when rinding???
This past weekend I wend on a cruise with my (called buds) and its probably the last time I go with them. I actually told them this already... When I told them they all have nothing to say but they keep actiong like this...
The one thing I disliked the most is that at every freeking stop light they all have tho rumble their bikes, then they take off like if they stoled the bike, they flick everyone outhere and most of them have harley crap all over themselves. I guess I'm in no need of attention so I 'm getting a little sick of them. Funny thing is that I started this little club and I can't stand them.
I my self ride a harley but I don't act stupid or dress stupid either. whats happening with us now???
Any mature riders that I can ride with???

Solution to problem:
Step 1: Purchase a BMW
Step 2: Attend a rally
Step 3: Find lots of nice people who like to ride - they don't care what they look like on the bike, they are very stealthy when they mount up and ride away, they don't stop at bars (oh, wait, coffee bars sometimes).
Step 4: Hook up with a few of these folks and go ride --- warning, these will be long rides, away from civilization. Fuel and food stops will be in very small towns without lots of gawkers. There will be nowhere to really show off your ride.
You know, you can actually skip step one. Just attend the rally on the Hog. The Beemer guys may flick you a little crud, but it's all in good fun, and they'll be happy to ride with you.
Of all the riders I've had the pleasure to hang around with, the BMW guys always have the best attitude overall. Yea, you can find jerks everywhere, but the jerk quotient here just seems smaller.
And you'll never find a more well-mannered group of riders that still like to have a good time.

Don't include "WE" with you when you are talking about idiot Harley riders. I ride a Harley and I don't act like an idiot. I have never seen any type of riders flick everyone out there. Lots of bikers like to take off from a stop fast but it is for fun and most are not doing it for attention, they would do it if nobody was around too. The guys you ride with may be glad if you do not ride with them. You might be getting on their nerves if you are considering them idiots.

Probably are, somewhere. I experienced similar problems in 1970. Too many assholes get bikes as an excuse to be stupid and crude. My answer was to get natural brown leathers instead of the black ones,,,and only ride alone. I might share the road for a short period with another scooter, but prefer to ride my own route,,at my own speed, and stop when MY butt is tired,,,not when someone else needs another beer. I do, however, blast away from a traffic light when I can,,and as quickly as possible get up to the speed limit. Reason: it seperates me by at least a block from the cars full of "putting on make-up", "talking on the cellphone", "doing office work", or too busy bopping to some music inattentive drivers that might harm me and my putt. Then, if the hurriers do catch up and pass, they do it oneat a time and more aware of me as they pass. Be happy with your self and your relationship with your scooter. I do not need a support system to help me enjoy my bike, and I would bet that you don't either.

Pick out not more than five of your favorite co-riders, and just ride with them.
Pick the older ones that don't have to prove anything to the world either.
The younger ones think they're all tough and stuff, and want to be "Billy Badass".
Also, plan your rides through an area with less stop signs.
If you enjoy riding, enjoy the "ride", not the "attention".

Mature or not ,I wouldn't want to ride with you. You don't sound like you're any fun at all
You probably ride the speed limit maybe even wear one of those jackets with the big reflective stripes on it.
Be patient ,I'm sure you'll find others that meet your requirements , I see plenty of you out there.
Don't forget, riding is to be enjoyed, if your "Buds" are enjoying themselves, who are you to say they're somehow wrong?.

Ah! This ones easy!
Start another club only this time BAN "Scrap-Iron" Harley's!
That way you will find the REAL bikers that I know are out there.
(although you may get the "ODD" Duc rider - and there really odd too.)
Hang on! Are we into something here - both V-twin both rider types rather "Strange" could it be something to do with "Out of Balance" engines??? Creating some kind of "Harmonic "In-balance"/
No, more likely more to do with both types having their brains in their ***?

I never rev my motor or ride fast, my pocket protector might fall out of my sweater vest.
If my Mom says its O.K. maybe we can ride together.
