how can a plane be kept in the air does God hold it?

It's called "Aerodynamics." The shape of the wing (with air moving over it) provides lift, which provides more upward force than the downward force of gravity. It's the exact same thing that keeps birds in the air.

My guess would that is true god does infact hold onto the wings and when it needs to take off he gives it a little push and woooosssh up it goes. But maybe it could be the wings and air preassure on the underbody, along with thrust of the jets pushing it to the direction needed at great force..

a difference in air pressure just above and below the wing actually pushes the whole thing upwards. the difference in air pressure is made by the way air passes over the wings special shape. or over the rotors shape.

the wing is shaped so it creates lift.

best way to explain lift, ride in the car with someone and stick your hand out the window w/ fingers together. then slightly tilt your hand up and what happens? the wind pushes it up. now tilt it slightly down, the wind pushes it down.

same with a plane and the wings. engines give the push, flaps on the wings force it up or down, the wing itself creates lift like your hand just floating out the window.

it stays in the air because the earths gravity is not strong enough to pull dwn the plane

make a paper airplane and fly it
you will see it "float " on air for a while
the engine lift up the plane to make it float alitte bit longer

The air pressure it creates keeps it in the air. :)
