Accords are one of the most abundant cars on the planet. Really anywhere you look you can find accord engines for sale for a couple hundred bucks or less. If you plan on keeping it for a long time I would look at a crate engine that has under 30k or if your not sure and just want something to prolong the life of your car a little longer just look in classifieds in your newpaper and other classified ads. Also look on ebay for engines close to your location so you dont have to ship it and you can inspect it before you buy. Hop this helps!!!

i own a repair shop, and it does cost a lot to have a Honda engine re-done,if its done right, some shops they say 800 bucks to do it,that's not right, you cant do a good job on a Honda engine and do all the machine work on it,and get it done for less than 1500 at the least, machine work is high, and anyone who thinks there engine wont need this ,is in store for a bad surprise, you can go to this site, and check out there prices to get a good idea of what a well built engine really cost http://www.jasperengines.com/ they have any engine you can imagine ,and all of them come with a 3 year or 75 thousand mile warranty on the,and that's hard to beat, good luck with it hope this helps.

You could get a low mileage replacement engine through a large salvage-scrap yard. The big ones are connected by computer, so they can get one shipped in if they do not have it in stock.
