Has anyone out there had any problems with this sled. Especially with the battery draining, any other electrical or engine problems. Can't afford the new 1098. I've had a couple of the liter bikes out there, want something different!!

The 999 is a great bike, there were some problems with the battery quality from the manufacturer and the dealership will warranty the battery given any problems. By far Ducati's have the best handling out of any bike out there, just keep in mind it's not a typical litre bike and will required higher maintenance cost. Good Luck!!

Wait a minute, you can afford a $18,000 Ducati 999 but not a $15,000 Ducati 1098?

well good luck with that beast. never any problems. i have a Desmosedici GP6. its a pure beast. cost a fortune. but the 999 will bring you hours of fun. just dont take it on highways cuz tehre are some bad drivers. take it to a nice windy road then you will really enjoy it.

The duc is definitely something different, but some will say that you are paying a vastly higher price for inferior quality.
