What's the name of the part between the hood and the windshield? It's under the windsheild wipers, it's a black plastic piece for '98 Ford Mustang V6 convertible.

I gave my boyfriend one of my cars when I moved out of state and he has not goten it registered in his name so I have to carry insurance on it still and am liable for property tax owed etc. I need to know of a way to get it out of my name. South Carolina DMV says there is no way except to have him pay the tax and fees and get it registered. I can't count on him to take care of this matter and need to get it changed ASAP!

I have a '95 Ford Ranger. It's getting colder by the day. It made me wonder if I could get remote start on my truck even though it's manual. Some of you many think this is a dumb question, since how would you start the car without pushing down on the clutch, but my dad has cruise control on his Toyota Celica GT and I have no idea how it works since he also has stick. But, I don't want cruise control anyway. I was just making a point there.

If so, how much does it usually cost and can I do it myself or is it really complex?

I just purchased a 2007 Harley-Davidson Street Bob, and as I am a new rider, I occassionally stall the bike at stop signs, stop lights, etc. Will this permanantly damage my new ride?

He was living with me then, so i gave him my 2nd car and told him the insurance will soon expire in 2 months, he should renew it and be paying for the insurance since he's working. Unknowingly to me, he didn't renew it and he ran a red light and had accident with it. Now, the insurance company of the other party wants money for damages, about $13000.00. Who's responsible to pay this money? my friend or me? he has a valid driving license.

I showed my class a "Cars of the Future" film about hydrogen powered vehicles. They seem to have endless possiblities, and they are safe. Solid hydrogen fuel in the form of metal alloy can be dispensed and stored. Iceland already has a Shell station that not only dispenses hydrogen fuel but makes it right on the site, so that no delivery trucks are used. The only emision from the engine is a few drops of water. The car that was featured had a chasis with the engine and fuel cells under the floorboard. All that was needed was a body to be lifted onto it.

I've got no idea which fuse or rating is where. Previous owner has wires running into fuse panel in three spots. I have empty places where fuses might go. I have the schematics but they just show certain cicuits running together and going to a fuse f1,f2, but I need to find out which and where that fuse is. Please help. Thanks.

I had a rebult engine put into my car, 1991 Mitsubitshi 3000GT. I paid $3500. With it I had hoses replaced and the oil pump. Less than 3 months and less than 1000 miles the head gasket blew again. My car has gauges and sensors, none came on until the last min. When the tow truck picked it up it had no water in it, they put water in it and there was no leaks. Where did the water go? SInce it was a new engine, I checked the oil and water before driving it, and I watched the gauges. I am restoring this car, and the engine was the last thing that was needed. It is under warrenty for 3 years or 30,000 miles. Who is at fault on this amount of money and parts?

I am a newly licensed driver and have no car insurance. What I was wondering is has anyone had progressive? If so how were they when needed. Iif not with them now why and would you go back? I got a quote from them and they were quite a bit lower than state farm and even esurance.com. Also if you have had or do have insurance from esurance.com how are they when needed. Bought a 1987 Bronco ll.Seller said truck is a-ok(ha ha) but been sitting for a year...Drove it home fine.Dad changes oil, timing,replaces missing vacuum line and a filthy fuel filter.Now you drive it a block and its starts jerking sputtering and sometimes cuts off.Replaced EGR valve and fuel sensor-no help.Oil is filthy after 1 week already.What would you do next, on a limited budget at that...

ok i just got a 1991 190e 2.6 mercedes benz it use to mostly set around in a garage all the time only being used by family that needed a car while theres was in the shop and so my mom needed it so she was going to barrow it and it needed its baterry changed since then there is a cassette stuck in it and it says "code" when i try to put in the code it just make a beep noice and doesn't unlock what do i do now?? I'm about to hit 60,000 mi. on my Sebring LXi coupe and have heard it's time to flush and fill the tranny. It's the Mitsu 3.0 V6 w/ the 4 spd Autostick trans. It could be me, but it does seem to have a SLIGHT rough spot occasionally in 3rd gear when in normal shift (D). I've also heard there was an Upgrade fluid to put in, ....?

I was considering to buy a ford mustang convertable, I am a 20 yr old male. I am aware of the insurance issue. But I am concerned with the fact that if the car was to rollover my head would be crushed, and there seems to be rollover bars in place. But when you get into a collision there is lots of metal flying around, and if your in a convertable Im worried that flying metal is going to come crashing through the cloth cover and I will be finished.

Monday my girlfriends Dodge Durango died while driving it. Just quit at about 55mph.
It has no error codes and just cranks (no spark). I tested and replace the distributor pick up and the cranksensor so far. The new ones test good.
I don't have 12volts at the coil input while cranking.
I can't even induce a code buy pulling the fuel injection relay and cranking.
Is this PCM bad or what?
