Monday my girlfriends Dodge Durango died while driving it. Just quit at about 55mph.
It has no error codes and just cranks (no spark). I tested and replace the distributor pick up and the cranksensor so far. The new ones test good.
I don't have 12volts at the coil input while cranking.
I can't even induce a code buy pulling the fuel injection relay and cranking.
Is this PCM bad or what?

After more trouble shooting I've discovered that the PCM for some reason is sending 5 volts onto the sense line of the crank sensor and the distributor pick up when they are unplugged? That is not right. I know it is from the PCM as I verified it closer to the plug. I hope this has not damaged the two new sensors I replaced for $160. Still cranks, still no spark.

It is probably your Ignition Control Module although it could be your Engine Control Module but the ECM is less likely.Hope I have been helpful.

Check the ASD relay, mounted on the firewall. You can bypass it to see if the fuel pump relay runs. Most of those relays are the same. You could even use the relay from the A/C to substitute. Also, check the wiring from the crank and cam sensors, trace them carefully back to the PCM, pull back the looms if you have to. It is known to short inside the harness. See if you can get it to run by applying 12 volts from the battery to the coil also. You can also check dodgetalk.com for more advice if needed. Good Luck!

I have a 2002 Dodge Durango SLT Plus, and we were really close to having total engine failure. Did you check the oil level? We had a problem with our Dodge Durango having the check gauges light come on and eventually had the oil level drop. It then made clunking noises and was very close to total engine failure. We heard that Dodge Durangos have a nasty problem with engine sludge build up. We cleaned out the engine, changed the oil and the filter, and it has been running fine ever since.

Did you check out your fuel pump? Just open the gas cap, put your ear close to it and have somebody turn the key to the on position and listen for the fuel pump, if you don't hear anything you have a bad pump. Check you fuel pump relay and fuses first also if the pump don't work.
