It feels like it's "heavier" and that I really have to push that gas pedal to really make it go.

Well there are alot of reasons for that. Make sure your always changing the oil, the fuel and air filters, maybe some spark plugs. and check your wires. Check for any leaks. But the best thing you can do is take it to you mechanic.

sounds like you might have a clogged catalitic convertor or a problem somewhere in your exhaust system, if its sputtering when you floor it then it could be a fuel problem. Call a few exhaust places and see if they will look at it for you. DONT ignore it or you wont have a ride. A clogged exhaust system can cause major problems. Quit stomping on the gas or something much worse will happen, get it to a shop soon just put it around in the mean time. good luck

When was the last time you replaced the Framazoid? This part needs to be replaced every 30,000 miles on the Expedition or it causes the exact kind of problem you are describing.

Three possibilities:

1. Check to make sure your emergency/parking brake is not on.

2. Walk around your vehicle and make sure you're not missing a wheel. There should be four of them--two at the front and two at the back...although some models have two wheels on each side.

3. Get a step stool and make sure there is no dead body on your roof--not the roof of your home--the roof of your vehicle--the one that is going slow.
