In the last couple of weeks, I've had the radiator, cap and valve replaced in my car to fix an ongoing overheating problem. It seems to have done the job, save for the fact that when I turn on the stereo (no matter the speed of travel, including sitting idle at a stop light) the temp gauge starts climbing. Is there any possible explanation as to why this might be happening, how to fix it, where to go to get it fixed, and a rough estimate of how much it might cost to fix? I know it doesn't seem to make sense, but it's almost as though they are on a switch together, turning the stereo on results in an immediate and sustained rising of the temp gauge needle, but turning it off, the temp gauge needle returns to normal levels...thanks in advance!

Hi, ive just passed my test and have been driving my car which is a Hyundai Accent Coupe | made in 1996.
The problem is sometimes when i push the clutch down it gives no resistance, like a broken pedal bin.
When this happens i cant change gear, ive found out i have to lift my foot off completly and then push the clutch back down.
The first time this happened was on a huge round-a-bout and i didnt know what was happening, put the handbrake on and hazards but as i didnt have Pass plates on i didnt get any sypathy from the drivers behind.
It doesn't happen all the time, but it results in a great loss of speed when it happens and i think its quite dangerous. Just wondering whats up with it?
Thanks.

The fuses are all intact. The bulbs are good. under the steering column there's some kind of switch that never make noise before but now it sounds like a blinker relay.

P.S. don't bother replying if you're just going to suggest taking it to a shop.

I used to run my Renault Extra van on a 50/50 mix of strained used veg oil and normal diesel with no problems.Just wondered if the Nissan engine was able to do the same.

Hi everyone. I have a car that i need to remove the bodykit on it. the kit is fiberglass and would perfer to get it all off in one peace, but what i wanted to ask is that the skirts are stuck on with silicon gel / bonding glue. this sticks the firber glass to the metal of the body of the car. great at the time as it holds very well. I know i have to carefully cut the skirt off which is fine but this will leave some of the rubbery glue still on the bodywork. is there a solution that i can buy or use that will either remove the rubberly glue or at desolve it in a way that wont damage the paint on the car? I relise that I could pick it all off but this is very time consuming and i dont fancy sanding it down and respraying the car. any ideas are greatly welcome. thank you in advance.

Ethanol is a grain form of gasoline. Do we have access to it to use at the gasoline pumps in Canada.

Just had the oil changed and when I stepped on the gas pedal, the engine revved at a higher pitch than normal. It kinda sounds like the way a lawn mower engine does when you open up its throttle - is something similar going on with my car's engine? What could cause this?

Last night while coming home my husband made a left hand turn into our drive way. During the turn we heard a honk and saw a car coming down the hill very fast right at us. It looked like we had plenty of time, we pulled into our driveway and stopped. When we looked to our left we saw the other car fly past us and then hit a post in our fence.

He says that we pulled right out in front of him and that he almost hit us. His witnesses say the same (in another car but knew the man).
We say we had plenty of time, but the man was speeding. Before we turned we didn't see him (though sight distance is limited because of a big hill) We live at a children's home on a Farm to Market road, speed limit is 55 but there are signs posted to slow down because of Children at Play.
The man's skidmarks go straight and then take a sharp turn towards our vehicle and our driveway. If he was trying to avoid hitting us why did his car turn toward us?

Honestly what do you think? Were we at fault?

HUSBAND...and he got a second DUI. He is at the end of his non-driving sentence and wants to get a car, give me the money to buy it, have it in my name and put it on my insurance. He will pay all the costs. He wants me to put him on my insurance so he doesn't have to get the blowy-inny thing and blow into every time he drives because he doesn't want our son to see him do it. Our son doesn't know about the DUI. Should I do this for him so my son doesn't have to be exposed to that or is it illegal?? I don't want to get in trouble...

I have a 2002 C240 and when I bought the car the salesman told me the seats were leather. I've recently been told that they are not real leather but some sort of plastic/vinyl. Is that true?
