I see answers that I KNOW are wrong, misleading, and in NO way are the right answer, but yet they get voted as best answer! Should a person waste their time to answer a question, only to have it shot down? Once a question goes into voting, you can no longer make any comments, even when you can prove the answer getting the most votes is WRONG! This is not fair to the person who asked the question, as they don't know the correct answer to begin with. If it was an opinion type answer fine, but a technical question that is going to cause someone to get hurt, or damage to their vehicle, then being able to prove them wrong should be an option. Three questions come to mind; one on a rearend ratio, one on an EGR valve, and one that would cause a big fire on a fuel injection system. They had information backing up their answer from a totally different system! Go figure?

What are the pros/cons when comparing a rotary engine to a typical four stroke piston engine? Its seems 95% of all autos use the piston engine so I'm sure there is a reason why. Any info/comments would be great.

I've always had diesels. I had to fork out £400 quid to service my car and I just crashed it last night. Diesels are mor expensive to maintain but last longer. Although petrols have higher performance I think the have less torque and pulling power in diesels and rev too high and therefore rev out at high speeds. By revving out I mean they go over 3000 rpm and thus lose torque.

I'm thinking of changong to petrol when I get new car but I cant decide.

the xpackage comes with the sports tuned suspension, low profile tires, bigger rims. my concern is: will the ride be noticeably more bumpy, and with the low profile tires, will the car be noiser and have more vibrations? also, with low pro tires, will it lose traction when it rains? is getting this xpackage better than just getting the standard IS model?

Hi
I love my sporty Polo but at 110,000 miles feel it's time to let go and move on! Can anyone suggest something that would suit me.

Budget is trade in value of Polo plus about 5k (total of 7k - 8k)

I want something that's responsive and fun to drive with 5 doors. I don't want a big car but do need space for my two kids.

Reliability is important. I'd consider sporty diesel or petrol.

Can anyone suggest something that is younger and has less miles than my current car.

Many thanks

1995 Honda Accord...Has been overheating for the last couple of weeks. Had the radiator replaced, and the thermostat replaced, and STILL it was overheating. Took it back to the mechanic, who said the pressure was good, and he could not duplicate the overheating. I've found, that when driving WITH THE CD PLAYER ON, the temp gauge creeps up over halfway. Previous to these problems, the temp gauge never read over a quarter. With the stereo off...no problems, with it on...overheating. Does this make sense? What's the easiest way to fix? Where/who should I take it to? And how much MORE am I looking at? I'd like to be able to listen to the stereo on long drives... :(

What are your favorite era of the Lincoln's? Me I like the 1958-60 Lincoln's and the 1969-71 Lincoln Continental Mark III's quite a bit, for some odd reason I like the 1970-74 Lincoln Continental's better than the 1961-69 Lincoln Continental's cause I think that the suicide doors kind of distracted the beautyness of the Lincoln's.

I am planning to open a franchise business that specializes in specific types of automobile repair. There are a number of territories in the U.S. still available. What specific areas of the country or cities might ifind the highest percentage of older cars still on the road (assuming that these would be the cars requiring the most frequent repair services)?
