Hi
I love my sporty Polo but at 110,000 miles feel it's time to let go and move on! Can anyone suggest something that would suit me.

Budget is trade in value of Polo plus about 5k (total of 7k - 8k)

I want something that's responsive and fun to drive with 5 doors. I don't want a big car but do need space for my two kids.

Reliability is important. I'd consider sporty diesel or petrol.

Can anyone suggest something that is younger and has less miles than my current car.

Many thanks

I have just exchanged my old sporty Polo for a two year old 5 doors SE model at around that figure and it is a dream to drive . I hesitated between that and the Yarris, but I am really pleased I stayed with a Polo. It has plenty of room for kids and their clobber.
My grandchildren think it is "really cool". Can't think of a better description.

Later 2003/4 Golf, TDi.

I borrow my dad's Golf tdI estate and it's a blast to drive !

It's diesel automatic and has a tiptronic system.... It's excellent fun, handles very well and so far has easily beaten a Ram 5.0 truck a TVR a Jag, and any number of hotted up BMW's and Japanese cars at the lights on Tesco roundabout. (awww yeah !)

One warning.... Dont hit the speed bumps too hard or you rip off the plastic panels on the underside when you land and ground out the suspension.

Peugot 307 diesel 5 door station wagon or sedan/hatch. 1100 to 1300 km per 60litres. Great fun to drive and very economical. Still has the power to keep up with and overtake commodore and ford. Tows a dream and is very comfortable on long trips. Heap leg room for rear passangers.
