Cars & Transportation - 19 October 2006

Last Friday my car wasfixed with new wheel bearins and break pads. I took the car from the garage and found that when I apply pressure to the break there is a loud 'clicking' noise. This noise wasn't there before......

I have been back the garage and the mechanic checked it all and said it could be the suspension?????

This seems odd to me as this noise wasn't there before he done the pads or the bearing...
Any ideas what the hell is going on with my car????
Is this mechanic ripping me off cos I'm a woman

Does it mean let's say if a car says it gets 38 mpg, when I drive ,one gallon of gas will lasts or iIget to drive for 38 miles?

It's hard to save gas by using cruise control cos highways always have roadworks and you have to slow down.

If I push the gas after driving on cruise control, it is then unset right?

i have the hardware and files for tuning different models etc, but all teh files i find companies offering with TUV certification etc and the like are very pricey. Would not the ones on ebay etc be similar even?

As a private individual as opposed to a business company, am I better off to purchase a brand new or nearly new car or go for private contract leasing? I just moved to California, and my motorcycle is still back in my previous state. The bike was taken off the road before we moved. I spoke with the DMV, and they said the bike needs vin verification (in person) before I get my real plates / registration.
