I am told it bent rods and we need a new engine.
My husband wants find out the cost of this before making a decison. I am just fed up with vehicles that don't last!

1991 chevrolet astro van, i've had 15 1/2 years, 250000 miles, last week speedometer/odometer/trip meter stopped working, can't afford dealer repair/analysis at present, can i fix on my own? how?

I have a Mk4 Golf GTTDi and I would like new alloys for it. I saw another Golf a while ago while very nice alloys but I have no idea what they are called!! They are very very like the chrome RS 8 18" alloys but the spokes are closer together and look razor sharp. Any ideas? Please help!!

which/what are the most important things to look for when picking a motorbike helmet? obviously Shoei etc are horrendously expensive but do you pay for proctection or the racing name? Also same thing for leathers, what to look for, armour etc are obvious but does it all work the same? Is Dainese leather better than cheaper alternatives?

I have a 99 Ford Ranger FWD 3.0 that will not shift out of park. I have tried using different keys and checking the parking brake with no help. I have heard this may be the ignition lockout switch, but want to get a second opinion. Anyone know where it is or how hard to replace? I really appreciate any help b/c this is my only vehicle.

1996 Nissan 200SX - New Battery, Already Dead?

Hey guys, Okay I have a 1996 Nissan 200SX SE-R, And up until recently, the car was fine, until I tried starting the car yesterday, and It was slow to start. I start driving not even a mile down the road, and when I pop it in neutral- the BRAKEand BATTERY lights come on. Immediately I know something is up, so I pull into the gas station to see what the deal is.
Fast forward to today, I popped in a brand new battery from Advance Auto Parts, and Works AMAZING in the morning. By 11PM, It barely starts, and I notice that everything is starting to DIM, headlights, rear lights, etc.
I finally make it home, and just like yesterday, this new battery is completely dead. I wrecked the car last year by hydroplaning into a ditch, and every few months the Serpentine(sp) belt keeps falling off, so I thought I would check that, but I looks to be on.
Does anyone have any clue what might be the problem? I have a minor oil leak, that looks to be low. Any re

I have just bought a Silver S reg VW polo 1.4 16v 3 door alloy's etc (as dad calls it, baby golf) lol. Its a lovely car inside and out, well looked after, it has all the extras. It has really light tinted back windows, but I want to do a little something else to snaz it up but I don't want to look cheap & nasty like a sad girl racer! as Im not, I just want it to look a little different... what do you suggest I could do to it? no silly answers I no what some of you are like xx

i bought it the other day and wired it in myself as per the instructions but the problem is sometimes it works properly and other times it just goes off straight away, ive checked all the wiring and its fine, it doesnt matter how much i adjust the sensitivity ive had it as low as it goes and the bloody thing still goes off without being touched
