My daughter's car wouldn't start after the arctic air hit us in Columbus, Ohio with temperatures below -7 and wind chill at around -28. The tow truck driver said that the fuel was frozen and to add STP Gas Treatment or a product called HEET, a gas-line antifreeze & water remover for fast cold weather starts. The local gas station only had STP Gas Treatment and it worked. We saved the cost of a complete tow and a diagnostic cost at the shop, Good stuff!!

It has a larger octane score meaning you have become extra skill from a similar volume of gas. The octane is determined on the refinery, no longer on the pump. The STP gas additive isn't any more advantageous than ethyl alcohol which permits shop your gas gadget sparkling, no longer strengthen octane. Sorry, yet your mechanic is done of sh*t.

Little or nothing, but to a small degree, it has an evaporative agent , to help get moisture out of the tank, good luck with a pressurized system, then it probably has a little Acetone for disolving Varnish, as gas turns into varnish a wee bit- Waste of money in most cases.

It's supposed to improve your mileage, and make your vehicle run better. I've never used it. I do, however, use an oil additive called Lucas. It's great! I haul mobile homes for a living, and my truck was using alot of oil. When I started using the Lucas, it stopped the oil usage considerably! It also gave me another 2 miles per gallon, which adds up when you drive for a living. Last month I went from Ohio to Washington and back on a half quart of oil!
