why would you want to put a tacho on a civic?

Hi ,
It will depend on whether it is an electronic pulse unit or takes info from the drive.

If it is an electronic unit then it will connect to the ignition system.

Find the makers name , look on the web for the makers web site and get a copy of the install instructions ( PDF ) download probably.

These are usually quite easy to install , a couple of wires , but routing them through the dashboard can be fun.
