Now...this is a good one.....
If you failed to give way at a Pedestrian crossing, by way of not stopping when a person was approaching the crossing you have a chance.
If you approached the crossing and there was someone on it....you are sunk.
The Highway code ...although not law, can be referred to in a court of law....states to drivers they should give way to pedestrians on the crossing. It also states that pedestrians should not attempt to cross if there is a vehicle approaching, and in any case, not if there is a vehicle on the Zig Zag lines...thats the reason you cant park on them.
The other offence is overtaking on the approach to a crossing.
Would need some more information to be able to help you further.
From Highway code.....
19: Zebra crossings. Give traffic plenty of time to see you and to stop before you start to cross. Vehicles will need more time when the road is slippery. Remember that traffic does not have to stop until someone has moved onto the crossing. Wait until traffic has stopped from both directions or the road is clear before crossing. Keep looking both ways, and listening, in case a driver or rider has not seen you and attempts to overtake a vehicle that has stopped.
20: Where there is an island in the middle of a zebra crossing, wait on the island and follow Rule 19 before you cross the second half of the road - it is a separate crossing.
For Motorists......
167: You MUST NOT park on a crossing or in the area covered by the zig-zag lines. You MUST NOT overtake the moving vehicle nearest the crossing or the vehicle nearest the crossing which has stopped to give way to pedestrians.
Laws ZPPPCRGD regs 18, 20 & 24, RTRA sect 25(5) & TSRGD reg 10, 27 & 28
168: In queuing traffic, you should keep the crossing clear.
Keep the crossing clear
169: You should take extra care where the view of either side of the crossing is blocked by queuing traffic or incorrectly parked vehicles. Pedestrians may be crossing between stationary vehicles.
170: Allow pedestrians plenty of time to cross and do not harass them by revving your engine or edging forward.
171: Zebra crossings. As you approach a zebra crossing
look out for people waiting to cross and be ready to slow down or stop to let them cross
you MUST give way when someone has moved onto a crossing
allow more time for stopping on wet or icy roads
do not wave people across; this could be dangerous if another vehicle is approaching
be aware of pedestrians approaching from the side of the crossing.

Basically you failed to stop at a pedestrian crossing, if a pedestrian set foot on the crossing and you fail to stop the fine could be large (Was £380 the last time I checked).
It's also an offence to stop or park on a pedestrian crossing.
