Please this is a serious question. So if you know the above truck, can you tell me how to fix the dash light so you can see how fast you are going at night etc? and How do I fix the clutch so its not shifting when its almost all the way out? I do appreciate positive feedback. Thanks so much.

Ok well First this is a verry in-expensive problem parts wise, lots a labor how ever, you will need to remove the plastic lower pannel under neath the steering wheel, then look on your steering collumn you will se to sometimes 4 bolts on a clamp that holds your steering collumn in place remove these bolts and let the sttering wheel drop down and lay on your seat remove all the bolts around the black plastic that is around your instrument cluster remove the plastic then remove the bolts holding your instrument cluster in and remove there are several light bulbs in the back replace all blown bulbs and re- install, now that will be your problem if you have at least some interior lighting like your climate control, water gauge any type of lighting if you have no lighting whatso ever you have a direct short somewhere in that circuit buy you a test light and start at the fuse pannell and work your way up til you find it,, as far as the clutch is concerned i may be wrong on this one but i do not beleive there is a clutch adjustment on that truck, it may just be time for a new clutch..hope this helps...Robert

What is going on with the clutch is a classic sign of the clutch being worn out. There are complete clutch replacement sets for around $250 at just about any parts stores. However you would have to be able to pull the transmission to replace the part. As for the dash lights. There are a few options for the cause of the problem; fuse blown at the fuse box for the dash lights; power or ground wire broken to the lights; switch for dash lights damaged(they would still give power to the headlights even if broken); or each bulb blown(rare to be all at once though). I would get a test light and find where the power stops, whereever that point is will show the cause.

The clutch might need replaced! I'm not sure if it is adjustable!
The dash light is controlled by the headlight switch. If i turn the knob just a wee bit to the left, the lights will stay on (dash lights).
The headlight hi-low function is controlled by pushing the turn signal handle down toward the floor, or your left foot. down is high beam, up is low beam. Pulling up on the handle makes the high beams flash as a warning to other drivers of trouble behind you. It will not stay in this position.
I have the exact same pickup, so i know the deal! It has 193,000+ miles on it and runs perfectly!

I've owned a lot of Rangers and highly recommend them. I always buy 4x4 and supercab (extra-cab) because I'm over 6' tall. The 4.0 Liter doesn't get but 20 mpg, but the 3.0 gets better. So, unless you plan on towing, I'd go with the small V-6. If you are shorter than I am the regular cab is OK. If you go with 2wd, throw lots of weight in the back for traction. The 4 cylinder is sufficient for the regular cab because it is much lighter.

Your clutch may be worn out,the dash lights are probably the headlight switch or a fuse
