when i step my gas pedal, it takes time to speed up. i use premium gas and use synthetic oil. how do i get my car to increase acceleration. (like v6 cars).

I have a 2002 Grand Prix, and I can't figure out how to get the metal plate off the back of the mirror. My neighbor says it dosen't come off mine for some reason. So I am wondering what I should use that will be strong enough to hold the mirror and all on there. I need to fix it before my husband comes home from Iraq. Please help me....

I am replacing my car speakers in my 2002 VW Jetta that I just bought.. I have a new CD player I am about to install, a 1000 watt amp, and two 12s..
I am wanting to know which speakers should I use.. Either 3 or 4 way speaker.. My factory speakers are busted and I just want to know if the 3 or 4 way speakers has anything to do with the amp?? So, if there is a certain kind I need to get with my amp...
I know I am a girl but I am not a retard.. I buy speakers for sound ((hence what they are used for.. NOT LOOKS)). I try to keep it all the same brand. I heard it has a little bit better of sound quality. So, thanks to anyone who can answer this!!

I have a 86 flat top piston Ford 5.0. Im going carburated and putting on these set of 87 heads. I want to put my RV cam in it too. What is a good way to check the clearance between the valves and pistons? I want to make sure its all going to fit.

I was wondering if the 1980's corvette's came with a six speed. If so what are the specs? Im thinking about a cheap way to put 6 speed in my mustang. Sorry but I love camaro's too. So please dont get mad if I own a Ford. I love both cars. I own Chevy also

I have an 04nissan altima...about 25500 miles on it. When I accelerate its making a rattling/grinding noise. Not all the time though. Sometimes going up hills, sometimes on flat roads, sometimes if I have my AC on. When I do drive at 35mph I did notice it was more constant. Also when I was sitting in park with the car running, the car sounds like it's going to shut off...kinda like its not getting enough gas. To top it off my SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT came on. It came on last week, but I got gas & the light went off. The car itself drives fine except for the problem I described.

No smoke from the engine, no overheats, my fluids are all at the proper levels.

Any ideas? I take the car in tomorrow to get it looked at but want to be prepared.

I have a 1970 Cutlass S. This was a limited edition in that year. The body is GREAT!! It just needs a transmisson and a new frame. The miles on it are 67,000 original miles ( I confirmed it with the BMV). I know that it will cost a pretty penny to rehab it ( some parts will have to be shipped to Ohio for me from CA), but I dont know if it will be worth it in the end. I do have a reliable vehicle that I use daily. What should I do??

My car was in dire need of a wash, but because it's been too hot, I let it go for tooooo long. Apparently there are birds eating god knows what...(glue maybe???) and now I cannot get the poop off the paint! No matter how much I scrubbed there are stains that will not come out! I have a white car and it looks horrible. Any suggestions on how to remove this toxic waste?
