I have a 2001 altima and I keep having problems with the mechanics diagnosing my car's problem. It could be because i'm a woman but every mechanic I go to tells me something different.
My car shakes then shuts off, the check engine light code is cylinder 4 misfire. I changed the spark plugs. I notice that the sound of my car changes when I put the Air conditioner on. Some mechanics say change the wires and the distributor cap, others say I need a new distributor, another one says I need a tune up, another one said I need a new gasket. How do I know what the real problem is? Ultimately, I'm going to have to take it to a dealer but I just wanted some help differentiating between gasket problems and distributor problems. Will A tune up fix all the things I mentioned or is it all just BS?

I recently had a friend fix an oil leak on my '98 Nissan Sentra. The leak affected the timing chain, which splattered oil all over parts of the engine and alternator. He did a great job cleaning it up, but now my car seems too slow when it changes gears and I have to almost slam on the gas to make it go. Could working with the timing chain affect the way my transmission works or could this problem have been caused by anything to do with the timing chain?

My car jerks slightly when going down or up in speed at low speeds. It has 70,000 miles on it. It is a Chevy Crapibu. It also has a bad exhaust valve. That problem developed at around 50,000 miles. Do I have a transmission problem and if so will it get worse over time? Do you think it simply needs transmission fluid? Thank you.

What does a wide tire do for the car; and what does a narrow tire do?
How thin of a tire is too thin?

I have a chatter, or knock when under load. after I come up to speed it goes away, also when cold and first started it knocks unless I set thumb cruise control up over 2000rpm. Once bike is warm it only knocks under load, not on warm startup.
