any local airport will sell you 100 oct. gasoline, which is what small aircraft use, as well as some race cars.

I guarantee you that jet fuel won't work in your car, unless your car has a gas turbine engine which I doubt. Jet fuel is a mixture of kerosene, naptha (not gas as suggested above), and anti-icing additives and will not vaporize sufficiently in the cylinder for combustion to take place.

If you are determined to try it anyway, then fuel suppliers at any airport will sell it to you as long as you bring an approved container.

If you want to try AvGas, it contains lead as an octane booster (to reduce the rate of combustion and therefore prevent pre-ignition) - so then you will fail your air care.

Best bet is to use gas from your local gas station.

We used to use contaminated jet fuel in our diesel trucks (on-airport use only) and some people use high octane avgas (aviation grade gasoline) in their race cars, but I wouldn't recommend either one for a normal street vehicle.

Avgas contains lead, and will damage your car's catalytic converter, while jet fuel is missing some of the additives and lubricants found in regular diesel motor fuel. Neither one is approved for use as automotive fuel.

Jet fuel in a car?? OK, whatever. Jet fuel is 95% kerosene and 5% gasoline. Get some kero at the hardware store.

Are u looking for racing fuel? or JA rate fuel.

Need to find a local fuel supplyer that carries jet fuel..Also to let u know ITS not going to be CHEAP... 120 octane is running around 6.00 a gallon.

used to buy it at the airport, but that was years ago for using in race cars, don't know if you can still get it, try a speed shop they often sell very high octane fuel.

Ehh... if you're looking for avgas, check out one of my favorite sites...

But if not, then... no idea.

Why would you need Jet-A for your car, anyway?! Heh heh.
