It's indicated somewhere in your car the amount of air pressure and stuff. If you put too much, the wheels will be too hard and your ride will be very bouncy! Don't know if it will explode though.. but probably yes.

On the Sidewall of the tire is the lbs, usually 32.
This amount changes with Load,Season,Conditions. There is a recommendation for Tire Pressure on the inner door drivers side. If is an older car, the suggested is on the Manufacturers site, or Hemmings.com or (yourcar/tire).com.
Yes, overinflation of a tire will make a loud noise and tire explodes. usually the sidewall esplodes, but it will break apart at the weakest point.

Depending on the make/mode of vehicle, it is usually about 30psi for cars and 35 psi for vans and some trucks. Every car has a manufacturer spec, which is usually on a sticker on the edge of the drivers door or door pillar. If not check the other doors. STICK TO THE CORRECT PRESSURE AS SPECIFIED BY THE MANUFACTURER!!!!!!!! Yes tires can 'blow' if over inflated, but if the spec is 30 and you have 35 psi, it will not blow up, There is a safety zone built in. If you had 55 psi, it may blow. Thus said, stick to the recommended tire pressure, as it is optimal for tire life and traction.

all tires have the needed amount of air written on the side of them,,sometimes it is in small letters,,under normal loads,,you need to carry what it usually says,,if you add weight ,,you need to add a small amount of air to compensate for the weight,,especially if the tire looks lumpy,,but be sure ,,and always remove the extra air that you added,,or some damage can result from it,,same goes true if you don't add any air and you are carrying a heavy load,,the rim may actually come down and cut the tire,,if you hit a hard bump,,i own a repair shop,,and see under,,and over inflated tires all the time,,hope this help,s

I've never had car tires explode on me, but I have made bicycle tires go boom! Yes, both the front and back tires. You'd think I'd have learned after the first one, but no....
Check the pressure recommended for your tires and stay pretty close to it.

Look at the inside door jamb of your car (the driver's door). It should have a sticker that shows the recommended tire pressure for your vehicle.
DON'T USE THE MAX THAT IS SHOWN ON THE SIDEWALLS OF THE TIRES - THIS IS ALWAYS HIGHER THAN THE RECOMMENDED PRESSURE!

Completely ignore what it says on the tires....this has NOTHING to do with air pressure for driving.
Go with the number inside driver's door. If it isn't there check manual.....or call your friendly tire pro at nearby Sears store....we're always happy to look that up for you.
