do not choose the battery or charging gadget with the aid of any geared up in gauge or meter. the two have a aspects shop consisting of motor vehicle Zone examine it, or in case you have a volt meter, you're able to do it your self. close off the engine, and with the meter set to VDC, examine battery, it would learn 12 to twelve.5 volts. Then commence the motor vehicle and consider it back, and it would examine around 14 to fifteen+ volts, if so, the alternator is nice with engine working. A volt examine on the battery would not mirror the actual fee or situation, it takes a "load try" to be sure the flexibility or amps interior the battery, back it rather is checked at any battery save or motor vehicle aspects shop.

Could be anumber of things. It could be in need of a tune up or a fuel problem. Is it putting out a code(Engine light on). Make sure your using good gas. Big V-8 engines need alittle higher octane for a better running engine. Then if its fuel injected, and one of your injectors is dirty. That will affect your starting. Get a engine manual and look threw it. It will help you in most problem area's. Take care and good luck.

this is a sign it may need a real good tune up,,i mean more than just spark plugs,,every so many thousand miles it is necessary to give one a good tune up to keep it in good running condition,,otherwise they get a little hard to start, and may use more fuel also,,most people don't notice the fuel consumption,,because it happens gradually,,not all the sudden,,but if i starts good hot,,this is a sure conclusion that is in need of a good tune up,,i own a repair shop,,and have seen a lot of tune-ups this year,,especially since gas went up,,everyone wants to get the most from a gallon of gas,,i hope this help,s.

Cold no, Hot yes? That is the choke. Or Fuel Throttle. Or the mice and wheel need oil.

either your altenator is going out or your timing has slipped..
just a guess without knowing more info..what make? year? engine size? history? ... usually a shop will charge you 65$ to analyze it...& they'll waive that if they fix it

older car may still have a choke if it's got a carburetor, may not be closing when it's cold.
