THis is a standard problem with the Theft system - you know, working and all. So......next time you've got the car running, take it to the dealer and ask them for the ID Ten-T Fix. The car must be driven in, you can't walk in and reequest it.

I HAVE A 94 CUTLASS AND I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AND I NARROWED THE PROBLEM DOWN TO THE SECURITY CARD READER THAT IS UNDER THE STEARING COLUMN, THE WIRES ARE BENT IN A WAY THAT THE WIRES ARE ACTUALLY BEING PULLED OUT OF THE PLUG FOR THE CARD READER, WHAT I DID WAS UN SCREWED THE CARD READER FROM THE MOLDING AND PUSHED ALL THE WIRES BACK INTO THE PLUG AND THEN TAPED IT UP WITH SOME ELECTRICAL TAPE AND THEN JUST LAYED THE WHOLE PLUG UP UNDER THE DASH WHERE IT WOULDN'T GET MOVED AROUND TO MUCH AND PRESTO HAVN'T HAD TO MUCH PROBLEM SINCE.
