Because of the economy and record high oil company gouging at the gas pumps, added to the fact that I think the Vespa scooter is really kewl and fashionably continental, I am going to purchase a scooter; however, it may not be a Vespa. I've seen others online that look good.
Your advice is appreciated.
Thanks!

I cant see the reason for buying a truck other than for work. Most people say...."Oh.....so i can haul stuff around in case i need to?" i mean really how often do you need to "haul stuff around"?

I need to remove the hub at home and take it to the shop. As there is no tow companies willing to come this far out. the local garage does not bring in vehicles and I'm sure it will destroy most of the wheel components if I even try to drive it. the car only has 100 000 km on it and body is great I don't want to give up on it. I have a short socket set but need to know the size to go buy the right one.

If , as the ethanol naysayers or the so-called studies say...that it takes more energy to manufacture ethanol than ethanol yields,..then I'd like to see the same study about how much energy it takes to turn out a barrel of gasoline ? Also considering the cost factor @ $70 a barrel for crude, and all the "energy" spent on protecting oil producing countries ?

Is it just me ? or does anybody else question some of these studies ? and have you ever noticed 'who' conducts some these studies....what's their agenda?

I know this more than one question but I need more than 1 answer

To me, it seems that biodiesel is a great solution to petrol. It's clean, cheaper than petroldiesel, and completely renewable. And to make things even better, if we used algae grown in marginal lands (desert), 0.3% of the surface of America could supply our energy needs.

So, it seems too good to be true. What are the inconveniences to a pure biodiesel or a biodiesel-electric hybrid solution?

i have a 93 mazda b 2500 and it acts like to torque converter is kicking in and out occasionally.?
4 speed overdrive automatic

Additional Details

well im almost sure its unlocking ,it only does it on the free way and not all the time. Seems like it just does it occasionally when i dont want it to. Rarly does it happen in town at low speeds. The fluid is full and the tranny was rebuilt about a year ago. It also shifts hard into first under throttle the other gears shift smooth. Also it seems to lack power, almost like something is holding it back. Not slipping but as if it were in second when i take off.A friend of mine has a dodge truck that does the same thing at about 65 mph, and he said it does it most of the time but once in a while it dosent. I am tottally lost. I been working on cars for a few years and have encountered most problems and done alot of above average/shade tree work but have never seen a vehicle do this...
