Cars & Transportation - 14 July 2006

I use it for work. It has never had insurance because I just got the job, So, I wasn't driving it. I used my sons truck instead. But, now I need insurance for my job. I need it fast and I need it as cheap as I can get it. Does anyone have any ideas on where to go? Please. And serious answers only. I need it by Monday.

I will be driving from Colorado Springs, Colorado to Kalamazoo, Michigan, which is approximately 1200 miles. How many hours of driving would it take to go 600 miles (half way) at approximately 70 mph? I will use Interstate 70 or Interstate 80. Do you know of a town about half-way where I can stay over night?

What could be the cause of a car starting up fine when it's cool. but after it heats up-it's harder to start or sometimes don't start at all?

My mechanic doesn't know what's wrong!! HELP!

My boyfriend has a motorcycle and I am terrified everytime he goes riding that something will happen to him. Not because of an error made by him but from another motorist. People just don't pay attention when they drive, they tailgate, slam on the breaks for no reason, and cut him off. Does anyone realize that a motorcyclist doesn't have the protection of a steel cage around them? I would love to confront the people who do this to motorcyclists!!!

All the "GAS CITY" gas stations in Chicago southwest and west suburbs (I did not go to other suburbs) have different priceboard prices and pump prices. The priceboard prices are always 30 to 40 cents lower than the actual pump prices.

Hi , my question was : Can you still follow up a claim even though i sold my car? Here is the deal, My insurance took pictures of my car when i still had it and then I asked them if I could sell my car and still receive my claim money (which I was not at fault) and he said sure as long as we have the pictures. I proceed and sold the car weeks later. I waited a month for the insurance to call me back and let me know about my claim. I finally called and he said he was still waiting for the police report which was not received yet . So I went and get a copy and send it to him. A couple of weeks past by and my insurance called me saying that the other driver did have insurance after all (which the other driver didnt have at the day of the accident) so he transfered me to the other driver's insurance and now the other insurance wants to take pictures to proceed once again with the claim. I do not have my car anymore, but the guy who bought my car is a friend of mine and

needed, what is wrong with it. I took it to the battery place, and they have said twice that the battery has a full charge and is fine. When it wont start the battery guage is lower than normal. He said to check the electrical, but my dad being stubborn made me buy a new battery anyway. What could be wrong with it?

Car details: 1992 4Runner SR5 V6 Manual, 4WD

I've looked online for parts - there are blowers for the 3rd gen. 4runner, but none for the 2nd gen. I've tried to find cat back systems but no luck. I've also seen a multitude of "chips" online, but a lot of these look like scams.

Does anyone know how I can squeeze another 10-15 HP (or more) out of my Runner without breaking the bank?

I have a 1966 (D plate) BSA Bantam D7 in full working order with original log book, only 6 previous keepers, I don't know how much mileage is on it but I know that it has hardly been used, all mileage that is on it is genuine. I know that it is a collectors item and I would be prepared to let it go for a genuine offer from a genuine collector only.
