My wife bought a 2003 Hyundai Accent brand new. We have never had ONE thing go wrong with it. (knocks on wood!!!!!!). Great car...the air conditioning is TOPS and its just a great little car. Good luck.

Your best bet is probably the VW Pointer. Hyundai Accent is the next choice. If you have to buy a Chevy I'd try a bicycle first. Good luck with what you choose. If you buy it used have it checked out by a trusted mechanic first. You could have a computer diagnostic check run on it to find anything wrong with the car. The VW probably will last the longest and parts should be available for all of the cars.

Hi! I'm hardatverks wife. I love my car, but...ahem.. my husband has taken it over. See we are in California, southern ca to be exact. His Isuzu's air isn't what it should be, and the Hyundai, well you can run the air, but its so cold that you end up opening the windows just for a break. Hyundai dealers are so helpful. I bought mine right after a divorce and bankruptcy, and they were amazing. I bought it in Ohio, and we have come to the one in CA for advice, looking at other models of Hyundai's and to have a headlight changed (100,000 mile warranty) and THEY did all the paperwork changing the stuff from Ohio to California. You will love the people, and the service. once, back in Ohio, I was hit by some gravel, and my windshield got a 'ding'...instead of charging me to repair it, they referred me to a local glass guy, and it cost me 30bucks. They are a great company. Best of luck to you.
