used,1984 harley,was in shop before i bought it,to get new carb and make sure was in order to ride

i talked to the insurance already, but i want to be sure, i only had it for 2 weeks the only thing i did to it was change the spark plugs

it was appraised and i had full coverage on it. I have'nt contacted the shop that did the work yet. and it was a vintage never to be replaced

Did you call your insurance agent before the damage? If not you better hope that there is a grace period....call them.

I have an 87 and my insurance would not put on fire and theft unless I had an appraisal done. Because of it's age. Considered vintage. I am in Canada though.

Did the engine catch on fire or it was an outside source? I would be contacting the shop that worked on your bike!

Aw man that is terrible. If your full coverage included "comprehensive" then I think it should be covered. They may try to collect from the shop that it was worked on, as well - if they determine that there was some sort of negligence that caused the fire. Hope you're okay...

Did you use it in a stunt, as in are you a daredevil? If you are then Im pretty sure the insurance will not cover your losses.
