Try Nationwide Insurance
I had a 2001 Dodge Neon and my monthly premium was less than a Hundred dollars.
That was for full coverage.
I never paid a down payment just the first month's premium.

Disclosure: I work for Unitrin, Inc, but not for their Personal Lines division.

If you need cheap insurance, go to an independent agent, and also check several internet sites as has been previously recommended. None of this will cost you anything, except time and hassle, of course.

Make sure that cheapest insurance is what you really want. Sometimes you get what you pay for. If you have a claim, who will service your account, and what is their reputation?

Go With Farmers New Century(Use to Be Farmers Direct) or Mecury.

Safe auto and the other El Cheapo just barely legal insurance will have you screwed if YOU hit a Beemer or more expensive ride......,also have good coverage limits.

Remember It's LEGAL to have your rates increased or have higher premiums from the start if your Credit Report(Score) is low.

Most States NOW allow insurers to base rates also on Credit Scores--------studies have proven that ppl with lower Credit Scores have MORE accidents/claims....fact!

I have insurance through Grange. I have a 2005 Mazda3, and a really bad driving record (3 tickets, lost my license once). My insurance is super cheap!!! (Under $100/mo). Try contacting an independent agent in your area that sells Grange, they can sometimes give you special offers and discounts that the big 1-800 numbers don't offer.

Well, it really depends on what state you live in and your driving record. I know this is going to sound like the commercial but I am so serious. We lived in La. and had progressive, when we moved to Wa they lowered the rates but we did some checking around and wound up switching to Geiko- no kidding 20 minutes on the phone and we are saving 50% and the coverage is great! We have found no one that has been able to beat gieko's rates for us.
