my car starts but sputters and will not go over 35 miles per hour. I have replaced the o2 sensor, the plugs, and wires. The computer at autozone reads cylinder 1 and cylinder 2 missfire, so I check the pressure with the autozone tools and it read 210 on all four plugs, so I know that the heads are ok. They said it could be the timing or the coil that the plug wires plug into. what are the symtoms of each, and could it be something else?

I've got no answers but a similar problem with my '04 xg350. Every 3 or so starts it sounds really rough. If I press the break to shift it sounds like it's choking and going to stall. If I release it it goes back to it's rough running. No amount of pressure on the gas will make it rev up, or run more than 15-20mph. When it does this, if I turn off the ignition and sit 15 seconds or so and restart, and do this 2-3 times, it will start normally and run right with the emmissions light on. The dealer.... says I need my fuel injectors cleaned with a 3 part solution for $70.00 not under warranty. What??? I'm supposed to believe this sudden problem is about grime on fuel injectors at 49,000 miles?? They got soooo dirty my car barely moves. I've had cars into 170,000 miles and never had this issue or had the injectors cleaned. Now I'm going to another Hyundai dealer to have it looked at to see what they say. I warned them that I believe I got a run around from the place I bought it. Also, the second dealer mentioned they charge just to check out the car and even if work is done. Is that normal?? I mean, if I am under warranty and repairs need done, can they still charge me for determining the problem??

Sorry need a little more info than that, but guessing from the information given I would guess fuel pump.
Even though the first part i posted was a joke before additional details were posted I may have had a good point without knowing it. Running problems can usually be narrowed down to 2 problems fuel and spark. You seem to have focused soley on spark up to this point but are you sure you are getting fuel to the cylinders?

sound like to coil tru and test it with engine off remove plug wire from #1 plug if you have an old plug stick it in wire and start veh to see if coil is firing then ck cyl 2 also if they are both firing remove plugs and ck the gaps if it has been running bad for a while the convertor could be plugged

your neighbors are going to hate this but disconnect your exhaust in front of the catalytic converter and see if it gets any better if it does then you have a plugged catalytic converter ...could be bad fuel injectors... or any of the related wiring to the coils or injectors

once you're on the fringe of the automobile (20 ft or a lot less) you ought to no longer have any problem taking pictures it. i propose a shotgun. it's going to make extra holes in preserving with shot. or you ought to replace the starter.
